Weight Loss Products on Celebrity Gossip Blogs......

I recently saw the fatloss4idiots Thread here and it made me wonder. If you didnt read this Thread it talks about how you should focus Affiliate Weight Loss Products on 'non-dieting Niches'. Like women over 30, or Pregnant women etc..It went on to say that the actual 'diet niche' is full of non-convertng keywords that are overstaurated.

Well, I have a Celebrity Gossip Blog I started exactly a year ago. I was excited back then only to realize after Posting 3 original articles a day on the Blog for 3 months that is wasn't going anywhere.
It just is NOT a high converting Niche for Adsense or other products. So I canned it !!

But then I was thinking would this fatloo4idiots go over well on a celebrity blog ??

I know you get a lot of women visitors going to them and would it be high converting ?

Anyone have any experience with cross selling weigh loss products on Hollywood Gossip Blogs or Websites ??

By the way, my Domain expires today so I am debating about whether or not to renew it.

And yes, I have a strong feeling that it would work. "Celebrity gossip" blogs are all about getting traffic, and there's a TON OF FAT PEOPLE around. Listen, just go to Wal-Mart, and walk around, and 90% of those people are overweight.

And... guess what? Are they buying the magazines on the rack? You betcha.

EDIT: By the way, could you PM me the thread? And also, maybe we could work on this idea together? We could both update the blog together, and use a script to rotate the ads so both of our affiliate ID's get hops.

I have been thinking of starting one of these for awhile. It wouldn't be that difficult... people respond to controversial stuff a lot more than I realized in the past.

What Marc says - this is EXACTLY what the help page on the FLFI page was talking about... who else sits around and reads celebrity gossip but fat women over 30? (just joking.... but maybe not!)
