Advice on Best Article Directory Script

I would appreciate advice on what you think is the best article directory script currently available. I'd be interested in hearing about WordPress as well as non WordPress options. Open source is fine, but if you know of reliable non open source scripts, I'd appreciate hearing about them. Although free is good, I'm not really concerned about that. I've tried to make a survey of available scripts, but I'm having a difficulty getting a feel for the quality of the products.

Any advice would be helpful.

    A few years ago I purchased this script and found it had pretty nice features.
    It was also very stable, and the support was excellent. The script was last updated on November 2012, so you may want to inquire first as to whether they are still actively supporting this script.

    I guess that's the drawback with any script or membership you buy online, you never know how long the product will be available, updated, etc.

      Thank you for the suggestion. I've just had a look at the product site, and this might work.

      Adie, thank you. I've heard of Article Dashboard but have also heard that its no longer supported and easy to hack.

      I know that article directories have taken a bad rap, but I think that has been due to the nature and quality of the content. Nothing in my research, which admittedly may be flawed, indicates that Google has a special penalty just for article directories. Be that as it may, I'm really looking for options on handling large volumes of content for a project I have in mind.

    Hello!

    There are a lot of directory script online. Wordpress and Weebly are free an great directory.

    But the best way for me is Blogger,it is owned by google and can make so much help when it terms of your ranking.

    It is very easy to use, just make sure to put high quality articles on it. Thanks

      Hi,
      well, Ive tried a number of scripts and they all mostly work and demand a certain upkeep and customising to get your adsense stuff etc in there. The biggest hassle I had and still do is the level of duplicate spam submitted. I am still not sure of the best way - I now use a WP blog cos it performs the same function and I dont have to spend 2hrs a day weeding spam submissions or rubbish respins.
      As a previous reader asked, what is the model & how will you earn.
      Some writers, bloggers or article subm,itters (unique only) to a focussed blog may work? maybe.

    If I were you, I'd forget about article directories.

    Instead, I'd focus on building an authority site.

    The good news is that this is CHEAPER and EASIER to do with the proper use of VAs.

    How? Use your VAs for research.

    Use this research to create a site that builds itself.

    Articledashboard has always been one of my favorite cause they are easy to work with and less restrictive like ezinesarticles. But I will suggest you do some research on google, find a few and see which is best for you.
