I was wondering if anyone would be generous enough to point me to some good FREE list marketing information.

I'm not so much interested in information on building the list so much as how to monetize it effectively.

    I find the best way to know how to treat your lists is to file away all the emails you get from your favourite marketers, and model yourself on them.

    Watch how they give freebies to add value and build the relationship with the list, and perhaps also note the style of their writing, and the specific words they use as calls of action.

    Many of them don't even develop their own products (or do so only to give them away), and just monetize by recommending affiliate products. But you must build trust before making recommendations.

    I'm giving away a free List Building ebook + set of videos on my blog at the moment. It does help you set up the system, but there are certainly some insights into how you should be building a relationship with your subscribers too.
