What Do You Think Of Hiring Someone?

I am curious as to what you think someone should look for when thinking about hiring someone to drive traffic to a website? I am not sure about hiring an individual or a company. Is there any questions you would ask?

I just don't know if I would be able to get better traffic through hiring someone to work on it for me or by doing it all myself. I just don't want to spend money on something that will not work.

I think you might be looking at this backwards. The only reason you should want to hire an individual or company to drive traffic or do anything for you is to free up your time so you can do what really makes you money.

If you don't have enough time to write blog post and send traffic, hire out what you don't like to do.

Well right now, until I can get an income through ministry, such as donations, speaking engagements, book sales, or whatever else, I am having to fund the ministry and my family myself. That means a normal job. So I do not have a lot of time to work on the site AND drive traffic to it while working and spending time with family.

But I see what Alexa is saying. It seems I am in a hard spot with this. My heart is for ministry and that is what I want to do. I would (and have) done it for free. But it costs money to live and that takes time working at a job if it doesn't come through any other place. That means in order to get money to live and have time for all of this I have to be supported through ministry.

Until I can do that though I have to work at a job to support my family and do the best I can to continue ministry that way. So that is why I was thinking of hiring someone to drive traffic...I simply don't know if I have the time to drive traffic while working a job, spending time with family, and doing ministry.

Maybe you can find someone who you may already know that shares your interest in you and or your ministry.

If you ask family, friends, ect and tell people who share your desire to help others in your ministry. You might find some people willing to donate their time or work cheaply. It is likely you know or friends and family know someone who already has these skills or would be willing learn to assist you in building your site.

    You need a re-think, here.

If you pay someone to drive traffic to your site, you're quite likely to give yourself two big problems: first, their heart won't be in it like yours would be, and with a site like yours, that's really going to matter (you won't be sure what kind of traffic they're really sending and whether it's actually any use to you, or to the visitors); secondly, what's going to happen when you stop paying?

Paying a "traffic-driver" isn't the way to build up a following for your site, and to attract the people who are looking for that kind of site. It really isn't.

I appreciate that your circumstances and intentions are a little different from those of many internet marketers here, but still you need well targeted traffic, just like a marketer does, and this thread may help you: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ffic-tips.html

All i can say is, know how to do it yourself before you hire someone to do it for you.

This way you can explain the exact steps they need to take and you'll have a better insight on the work they delivered.

    Hey,

If you know how to drive traffic yourself, then I would just stick with that.

On the other hand, I wouldn't be opposed to hiring someone to drive traffic for me because I would rather have someone do the work for me and I enjoy my free time.

In the end, no one knows what the outcome would be if they were to spend money on traffic, but I always say, you don't know until you try, and it is better to know if their work doesn't pay off early. . . then you can get them off your radar and get closer to what actually DOES work.

I would only spend money on traffic generation if I know for a fact that I will get it back soon. That way, I minimize my risk.

    Hope this is helpful!

    -Josh

Hire someone when you have recurring tasks. Break down your traffic generation activities and outsource the activities.

This requires developing a working traffic generation method, but once you figure it out, in most cases it's merely a set of recurring tasks that can be outsourced.

Will you make a return if you do hire someone? If you can - and have an offer that converts - then why wouldn't you? It's obvious by writing this post driving traffic is a chore to you. If that's true, and you have an offer (or funnel) that converts, and the ROI would be something you can be happy with there's nothing to lose by doing it.

With over a billion people on Facebook now, social media is where your audience is at. So why not hire a social media manager that can make you visible on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google +, Reddit and any other social networking site. This person would be responsible for crafting relevant updates/posts as well as interacting with fans/followers. As you create posts for your main site, they would update the social pages about those posts, keeping your fans and followers plugged into what you are doing. This will drive traffic to your pages and help you get the readers you are looking for.

The best way is to learn the ropes of online marketing first. Teach yourself how to drive traffic to your sites then try to monetize it. Once you have a method then you can start hiring and delegating each task to them.

If you can't think of a system to address your problem, you still need to look for someone who is an expert or at least have an idea about traffic
