Need help Monetizing Website

Hi Guys,

I was hoping I could get some feedback from everyone here on my site. Treatment For Hemorrhoids Currently, its getting about 4.5k unique hits a month which are all organic. It used to get around 10k before penguin and butterfly from google. Currently there is no traffic coming from google, only from bing and yahoo.

I've been trying to monetize this site with affiliate offers but it doesn't seem the traffic has been converting. I installed pop up domination to get people on a list to retarget them. But I only get about 1 subscriber a day out of about 130 - 150 hits/day. So, I am not sure what is going wrong with the traffic.

So, I'm hoping you all can take a look at my site and lend your opinions on what I can change to increase conversions, optins etc. As of right now I have about 85% bounce rate which I was hoping the popup was going to solve that problem but hasn't. Anyways. I am awaiting helpful suggestions. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    The first thing is that you website takes really long to load. Frankly, I failed to get through, Every other site was loading but yours.

    Having said that, your problem suggests to me that you may have a targeting issue. In other words, the keywords that you are focusing on may be causing search engines to send you traffic that is not interested in what you have to offer. Compare your website with the other sites that show up in search results for the keywords you are using, especially the homepage keyword.

    Is the content on these other sites similar to yours? If not, that may go to show that even if you are using the same keyword as the other sites showing up in search results, you are using the keyword to write about topics your audience is not looking for. In other words you have missed their search intent. Hence, when they get to your site they are not interested in what you have to offer because it's not what they are looking for. So they neither buy nor sign up to your list.

    If however, your content is on the same topic as other sites showing up in search results, then maybe you don't sound credible/ convincing and you need to work on that. Perhaps you may also need to engage your audience in some way without trying to make a buck. For example, surveys to find out what they want, a quiz, etc.

    Oh... your site just loaded. The above may still be helpful. But having now seen your site perhaps, people with that problem may not want to disclose their identity to a stranger. Especially if you are not a health professional. Your About page is unhelpful in this regard. Just guessing. Maybe partner up with a health pro in this area.

    Secondly try doing product reviews. Impartial, comprehensive reviews that provide truthful information about products and alternatives to those products. Interview experts as well. Let them recommend products. Be an affiliate of those products.

    There's always a way.

    I think there is no personality and compassion on your site. The topic is good but it is very cold feeling.
    I recently had gout on my foot, and I looked resources and what went to was sites that were compassionate about the issue. Go to odesk.com find a writer that is good on medical advice or go interview a expert. Provide you customer with love, not facts you can get that anywhere. Or try hirewritter a.com

    In addition to the above suggestions, a good web designer could help also. Maybe a new theme? I'm not a designer, but it seems to need something that will reach out and grab the viewer and hold his attention and say, 'Your answer is HERE; no need to go anyplace else.'

    Keyword targeting is likely your number one issue. Were you converting when you had more traffic? If so, what keywords was google sending that bing and yahoo are not? Has your bounce rate changed? Can't do much unless you know the answer to those questions...
