Do conduit sites still work?

Little curious after finally reading my copy of Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate, I know the book was created and sold during 2007 so I'm wondering if the method still works. Anyone personally still create these?

I started a conduit site in the fitness niche few weeks ago. With more than 1000 hops so far, I only made one sale.

So, either the conduit method doesn't work so well anymore. Or I am doing something wrong...

OR... the problem could be with the product/niche.

not sure we are talking about the same thing. i created a toolbar with the software provided by conduitdotcom
is that the same conduit?

If all you do is copy *exactly* what was done, then no.
If all you do is *make* a site, sit back and expect the sales to roll in, no.

If... you do your research, provide something of value, provide honest testimonials, and promotion... then yes. If you mean does it make you 'tons' of cash on autopilot... if you do it to a large extent, find something new, get positioned well in google... then yes. But it is a bit more work than he describes in his book :P

The Conduit Method is a concise method of online marketing.... Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate is more general.

Yes "Conduit" still works well.... especially if you pick a good product and do some back-linking.

Conduit sites will always work. ROTTEN TOMATOES: Movies - New Movie Reviews and Previews! is living proof. As previous posters have mentioned, your chosen market may suck...or the product might. There's a lot to test and research before taking off.
