How to be successful at what? Or did you mean generally in life over all quarters (health/money/love)...?

It's also not the easiest thing to sell unless you have a success story behind you.

    Best wishes with it

      Max,

Everything starts with market research and identifying demand. You're looking for an audience with a common need, want, problem, or desire. Make sure that there is a market of potential buyers. Then you can craft your product to meet the expressed needs.

When you begin by creating a product first, without understanding if there is demand for it, you run the risk of wasting a lot of time, money and effort creating something that nobody wants. Such products litter the Internet landscape.

This is a very common mistake that so many people new to IM could avoid if they would spend a little time online and do their research first.

      The very best to you,

      Steve

I was thinking of a motivational niche. I dont know if something like that exists. Empower people to bring out the best in them. And write books on self esteem, attributes of a successful person, time management etc. I don't know if that stuff will help the same audience. I browsed the Success part on clickbank and it seems people have similar products as mine. Thanks

Google Melvin Powers. Visit his site.

The question I asked Melvin 3 times over 40 years was:

Knowing what you know today, how would you start from scratch.

          Same answer all three times.

He said he would start with a Self-Improvement book, just one, and build from there. He was one of the great masters of marketing.

I think you would find your "niche" in one of his book categories at Wilshire Publishing.

PS. Lot of Law of Attraction type books too on Amazon.

In my opinion there's easier and better chances of success with topics to start your first ebook around

Be careful, your starting in the deepest part of the pool you can possibly get in. The ... "How to Be Successful" market.

Your competing against Celebrities recommended by Opray, famous talk show psychologist, best selling authors, and a host of Billionaires, millionaires and business tycoons ... and that's just the beginning.

But if you're determined to focus on the "How To Be Successful" market, hopefully you have a ton of personal examples, stories and unique insights to share with the audience.

As opposed the same principles, information or ideas your potential audience have heard a thousand times before - from people they've heard of.

As mentioned in the post above at least be a little more specific and tell your audience how to be successful at (something specific).

How To Be Successful at Solving Problems
How To Be Successful at Finding a Mate
How To Be Successful at Making an Extra Income

That will at least give you a more definable market

As you do your market research, look for areas no one has covered yet. The only thing is you'll have to look hard and maybe long. Why?

Because the "How to Be Successful" topic has to be one of the most researched, written about and saturated subjects on the planet. All that means is you have your work cut out for you.

That's why it's essential to have a personal story, angle or niche that separates you from the millions of other How to Be Successful Books out there.

Hope this gives you something to think about.

Why don't you browse the category in clickbank and see what others are doing.
Self-Help : Success is the category you want to browse. See if you can promote their products, and sign up for any lists and see what is being promoted.

It sounds like you have no idea what you are doing. "Just do it" like Nike and you will learn. If it's crap nobody will buy it, if it's valuable it will sell.

I spent months researching on my book and I believe in it 110%. Selling crappy stuff can jeorpadize the online branding I'm planning. I would never do that.

  • Sounds good. With the right motivation, productivity and skills you can do it. Great idea and is in a niche that works very well.

If it is Motivational in nature, go to Clickbank and look through their categories and you would get a very good idea on what Niche. This is the first place I would suggest.

This is totally back-to-front. You don't start with a neat idea for a book and then go and look for a niche to fit it - you find your niche - your market - you research what people want to know (as distinct from need to know) and then you write an authoritative book that answers their questions.

The road to failure is paved with millions of really good books that were written before the author bothered to research the market.

Been there, done that. In fact, I could write a book on it ... and probably will - Because so many people still do it.

You should search for blogs in your niche and see what product they sell. You can easily understand who is the audience and what products they are searching.

Also run the main kw through the AdWords Keywords tool and investigate the results.
