Developing a internet Marketing plan.

Hi, I am a author who is about to Self-publish and ebook my first fiction novel and I am about a few months away from publishing it and I want to start developing a marketing plan to draw people to purchase my book once it is released. I am already about to do a blog tour to pimp my book to other peoples fanbases but I want to build my own fanbase. I have a facebook page, twitter page and my blog will be up soon. I was wondering how can i draw people to my facebook, twitter, and blog and I mean good fans and possible book purchasers any ideas of what I can do? I want to make money and build a fanbase that'll buy the next two in my book series.

Look out for the target audience for your book. And try out promoting the same on those platforms. That would extremely give out a boost to take out a good revolution for selling the product.

Find out where your target audience is hanging out at, and engage with them.
    Talk to them.

For a quicker solution use PPC ads with Facebook and just make sure the money you put in the ads is less than the money you profit from sales

      James,

Hopefully you penned your book with a specific target audience in mind.

That should guide you as to how and where you need to begin marketing your product (book). My experience has been that books (as well as e-products) written or created with no specific customers in mind actually appeal to very few people. I know that's kind of counter-intuitive . . . you'd think the wider the audience, the better since you would have a larger pool of prospects.

But the truth is, being general is not a plus. Why? Because every single person is an individual with very specific needs and desires. Those are the people that will respond to your marketing if you appeal to them personally with their interests in mind. Yes, doing this cuts the market down considerably . . . but that helps you to better identify who you want to market your book to. Get specific and don't be concerned about excluding prospects outside your focus - they won't buy anyway if you market to them and don't have what they want.

      The very best to you,

      Steve

i dont know how much your book will cost but you can give amazon a try since its a platform that already has traffic. also join forums or book clubs. also have a kindle version of your book as there is a market for kindle readers.

You should offer a digital version of it also. List on Amazon, Ebay, Half.com, Abebooks, and more to get publicity. Spend the money to get it in bookstores too (BooksAMillion & Barnes And Nobles). Launch your website and drive traffic to your book sales page. And seek out joint venture possibilities also.

I think you should create a free report which is basically a preview of your book, and then start building a tageted email list.

You can send broadcasts until you release the book to make people warm for it. There's plenty of ways to build a targeted email list, but paid traffic will work best. Perhaps banner dvertising on related blogs would be a good idea or fb ads.
