Publishing Blog Posts to LinkedIn

Hello Warriors! As you know, LinkedIn has opened it's publishing platform to the public. I would like to publish blog posts from my health-related website there, but I'm not sure whether this is a good idea. For one, Google doesn't seem to favor syndicated content right now and I don't want to completely rewrite the posts, some of which are over 1,000 words. Secondly, I'm not sure whether LinkedIn is a good platform for health-related articles. Any thoughts?

    If you don't want to rewrite the content, then I would stay away from posting there as the SEO benefits you get would be minimal. Then again, you would get some traffic from LinkedIn as well. Thus, I think it would be advisable that you do post it at LinkedIn since it is a multibillion dollar online property, with significant traffic, but only if you can rewrite the articles in some shape or form.

    LinkedIn would be a good fit for JOBS & Employment niche but that not means the health related article would not work, just be careful and try not to syndicate your blog articles at the LinkedIn publishing network.

    Do have some time and create fresh and unique content to build your credibility over time and then your original blog post links could be shared for traffic and leads.

    Hi Kristie,

    If you want to get the most out of your content part it on your own self-hosted Wordpress blog. Definitely pay for hosting - $100 a year - and a domain name - $10 a year - to brand yourself, own your content and to drive traffic to your heath-related site.

    Posting content on LinkedIn is a bit tricky, because they own it, and as noted, ranking in search may be a bit more difficult on a professional/social network like LI.
