My New Blueprint For 2014

Hey folks, I am updating my methods for 2014. I am no expert by far and I am not making 4 figures a month so I would like some input for my new blueprint and taking it to the next level.

Step 1.

Choose a broad niche and narrow down

(Example: Internet Marketing, then traffic.)

While traffic is still a pretty large topic is has many different niches within it like PPC, Media buys etc, this will allow me to build up a blog around traffic methods.

Step 2.

Purchase domain name/hosting etc and setup wordpress blog.

Step 3.

Configure wordpress, install all-in-one seo and reduce navigation so visitor can only see one targeted page.

Step 4.

List general traffic keywords and brainstorm

Step 5.

Find traffic products to promote WSO's, clickbank, cpa offers.

Step 6.

Create free report/video etc and add optin to right side of blog to capture email addresses.

Step 7.

Create 30 posts based around keywords, product reviews etc

Step 8.

Set timer to Drip feed posts out daily to blog from enough post for 1 month.

Step 9.

Create autoresponder mailings.

    your plan can be simplified to require you to do less work.

    Why not skip creating the blog and just buy traffic send traffic to a squeeze page. Then create email follow ups teaching people how to do things in your niche. Then sprinkle in some promo emails to make money from your list.

    It's very simplified but it's very effective.

      Yes I agree that works also but trying to do related to the blog at least it would be started from scratch with zero investment apart from domain and hosting.

      I would usually use facebook ads but I intend on free traffic for building up blog site.

      Two things to think about as you're just getting started:

      1. Market research - you need to find out where there is demand (which means there are buying customers waiting to spend their money on a solution to their problem). You can't really create demand in the marketplace - it is already there. Your research will also help you to know all about the market, all about your competitors, where the prospects can be found, what they are willing to pay, etc. It's essential that you understand the market and what you're up against before you choose a solution to sell into the demand.

      2. Stay away from selling to the "Internet marketing" and "make money" crowd. You said you were no expert and those particular markets are disastrous for those without experience and a proven track record.

      I commend you for making a plan and breaking it down into defined steps. You're ahead of 95% of the others coming to this forum.

        Your plan is a a good starting point so do just that and start there.

        Don't be afraid to test different approaches though by shaking things up. There are many proven things to test.

        Also, a part of the plan should be buying traffic to convert with a funnel. Though you may not be there yet.... plan on being there eventually.

        I get why Steve said this but be careful with it.

        The IM/ MMO market is a big and rabid one, many segments of which lend themselves to marketers without the "in the trenches" experience Steve is talking about (like WP training courses and graphic packages).

        To skip that space without even consideration is "a day late and a dollar short" in my opinion.

        I tell my coaching members to consider ALL viable markets..... but skip no viable market worth consideration.

    Good idea setting an action plan, but don't be afraid to deviate from that plan from time to time if it's going to be advantageous to your end goal! You should always be learning new techniques as you go along.
