2 weeks ago i was on basic plus (for the 3rd time), and they put me on to basic plus again for the 3rd time, without my permission, but the thing is i only had 1 minor error on the article out of the whole of the 25, so i was wondering why they didnt upgrade me to Platinum automatically?
here is my upgrade progress summary ->basic (submitted 10 articles, 10-had 7-8 errors- corrected, resubmitted) ->basic plus upgrade(submitted 25 articles, had 7-8 errors- corrected, resubmitted) ->basic plus upgrade(submitted 25 articles, had 1 error only- corrected, resubmitted) ->basic plus upgrade- after 1 error previously? so i was expecting an upgrade to platinum with requesting the upgrade, but without requesting any upgrade (via email message) they automatically upgraded me to basic plus again, for the 3rd time now!, and i only had 1 measly error out of my total previous 25 articles.... and i heard enough people have moved from basic plus -> platinum with 2/3 erros on their basic plus account, and i only had one. could this be a mistake upgrade? and is it worth emailing them to say i only had 1 minor mistake? if i email them, what should i say? i have wanted to be on platinum for ages now, and the change i get they put me back to basic plus. if i email them, what should i say? anyone else experience this, and emailed them ? what did they say? help... |

I dont think they had any errors. I have barely had any errors overtime. I reckon i have had over 90% of my total errors over the past 3 months due to changes at EZA. Which is a bit of pain. You need to write quality articles and give them some good reasons to make you a platinum author.

Mind if I ask why becoming platinum is so important to you? For what its worth, I think they made me do the basic plus thingy 3 times before they gave me platinum. |

I had to go through basic plus a couple of times too. You just have to review each of the 25 articles carefully to ensure there are no mistakes before you submit them.
@Kelvin He may want platinum status so he can get his articles reviewed faster. I certainly noticed a difference once I got there. |

and how many times did you go through basic plus chessguy? yes, my basic plus only had 1 mistake, so thats why i woundered why i didnt get bumped upto platinum. there was a bit of a gap between some of my article submissions in that basic plus account but that isnt an error and didnt make errors- so shouldnt have caused me NOT to go to platinum, should it have ?

Hi,
I had to wait until i reached 35 articles before they considered upgrading me to platinum. They sent me an internal message asking me why I thought i should be considered for platinum, i replied and platinum status was given. Don't worry, just keep writing and if you reach 35 articles and they haven't sent you a message to your Ezine inbox then shoot them off a quick message asking if you can be considered for an upgrade. It's worth it, my articles are now getting approved in 48 hours max, so much better than before. Hope that helps. Cheers, Paul |

Getting upgraded to platinum level has its perks. For one, you get your articles approved within 48 hours of submission. And if you live in the competitive world of article submission and marketing, time is gold so waiting for one whole week to get your articles approved (for the basic level members), is definitely a great waste of time. Just email them and ask them what else you need to do to get upgraded. Their editing team is always prompt and polite with their replies. Thanks. Cheers!

It was a long time ago, but I had to request the upgrade.
And had to write a brief statement as to why I thought the account should be upgraded. Thought it was a bit obnoxious at the time, but with all the low quality submissions they get, probably necessary. |

Sorry innocent, I don't really "do" EZA.
I'm seeing my friend tomorrow, so send me a PM during the day tomorrow to remind me, and I'll get some info from him for you. HTH |

If I were you, I'd just start a new account and with your experience you should be able to do your first 10 flawless and there you go => platinum status
Is that what I did? What do you think? |

EA do have a strict acceptance policy that I know can be frustrating at times, but at the end of the day they are a top quality site that only want top quality articles posted there. This can only improve your article writing skills, and once you start getting more and more accepted at least you can feel good that you have some quality articles out there on the best article directory. As far as their support team, I know they are strict when accepting articles but any direct communication I have had with them has always been very pleasant and I have always found them very helpful too. Just my personal experience with them. Cheers, Paul

Same here, I got an approval email one day ,it also said I'd been upgraded to platinum. I was amazed yesterday to get an article approved in 7 1/2 hours!

I thought it was automatic too. First 10 articles straight to platinum in a couple of days and the freebies sent via mail within 2 weeks... and that was in the last month or so.
Can they downgrade you from platinum to basic plus? |

I've been witness to the creation of a few accounts over there over the years (my own, my brother's, some friends, etc) and the conclusion I've been able to draw is that once you are following the rules and have only the occasional minor mistake, it's mostly random.
The impression I get from it is that there is a string of 100 or more people looking at articles, some are nice and friendly and giving and others are harsh and strict, and your article/update request can end up with any of them and they get final say on what happens. I other words if you have glaring errors or do a bad job you'll be held back for sure, while if you do a very good job and are careful, you *might* be sped on through to platinum but you *might* also be made to wait. Nothing you can really do about it but solider on. Honestly you can't really blame them if you consider the sheer volume of submissions they probably get. You'll get it in the end though, I'm sure. |

Some good points there. but if it is the odd error, then you can email them and hopefully the email gets received by somebody who has a nicer nature, *might* be sped on through to platinum but you *might* also be made to wait. ? Would that be the case if you you go from basic plus -> basic plus -> basic plus 5 times, with the odd error......, then would you also be expected to wait? or email them ????
