Read a lot what WF offers here for free. If you want to go faster, than be a WarRoom Member... then read a lot what those WarRoom Members give as free offers. Just try hard not to fall to buy anything yet (including any link in those free offers), until you are sure to choose a niche you want to stick with it forever to make money. Good luck!

    Hey Striker and welcome.

This forum is a great place to start. I have learnt tons on here and the people are for the most part extremely helpful

To start with there are a 101 ways to make money on the internet and you may well be overwhelmed by the information available to you. Spend a couple of weeks reading and asking questions.

You really don't need to buy anything yet as pretty much all the info you need is available here. I would invest in the War Room if you have money to invest. It is a great place to pick up some quality info and products.

I personally I am going down the route of building a good rep and trusting list in my chosen niche. It seems to me the best way to go.

Whatever you do, do it with persistence and consistency and do not get in the habit of buying the next best thing.

Anyway, good luck buddy and don't hesitate to ask questions.

    Raj

Hello and welcome to the forum!

For me personally, i think the best lessons are the one's that you learn yourself. There is no way that you won't fail, so that's something you have to come to terms with.

That being said, it's best you start with the methods that increase your chances to succeed eventually. So if i can give you some pointers, here's what you should do to get started:
    - Start building your list from day 1 -> Get the tools needed to set up a squeeze page and build a funnel. If you have an email list, you can use that list to leverage whatever you do afterwards.
    - Learn about traffic generation. If you want to build a solid business, you need to be able to drive traffic to your squeeze page. And not just any traffic, you need targeted traffic.
    - Rule number 1: testing is the most important aspect to succeed. You have to test everything to get the best results, so you can scale up your business easily. This part separates the people who succeed eventually from the people that fail once and give up.

So learn about these things and there's no way you can't succeed.
    Good luck!

Actually, you should create a business plan from day one ... and then start a mailing list. Because without a solid plan at the start, you run the risk of scattering your actions.

Plus, you'll be weaker at zeroing in on your target market, constantly stopping, starting and changing directions - plus a host of other ills.

I simply took advantage of Google. Every time I want to know something, I Google it. Sometimes, it takes me to informative articles. Sometimes, it takes me to forum, such as the Warrior Forum. I read a lot and I'm still doing it.

But, Internet Marketing is still a broad niche. What's your chosen area on IM?
That's what you should be exactly searching for on Google.

Hello and welcome to the forum. There's many possible ways to make money online. Figure out which one interests you and focus on that. Get in the game as soon as possible. You'll learn more in one month by "doing" then you would in a year of researching. Good luck.

Ha, Ha. You'll also lose a lot of money and time.

      The key is balance.

You should act, I agree. But the majority of actions you take as an Internet Marketer should be based on research and testing. If not, then it's called guessing, gambling, or speculating.

If you research (pardon the pun), you'll notice the top dog, elite marketers are obsessive testers and researchers, they test everything.

The Internet is littered with dead bodies of people - who were in too big of a hurry to do their research ... before they acted.

Just be careful of paralysis of analysis. That's all.

Research some niches to decide what niche you are going to focus on. Once you decide on a niche, you need to FOCUS on that niche and not jump to anything else for atleast a year. I had my share of jumping from one thing to another when I was new and did not accomplish anything until I started giving something a try for atleast a year. Not a week, not a month, or even three months. A YEAR.

I learned by making a blog on a topic I was passionate about and just Googled and studied as much as I could to get more people onto my site. I ended up learning many valuable lessons that I applied later in my IM career.

Just be aware of all the information you will et in our inbox... Everyday you will be getting offers that sound ery promising... Do not fall into that trap...
Do some research and concentrate in only one thing... Focus, give it all your effort and concentrati0on until you see results. Do not jump from one program to another. You will be overwhelmed and very frustrated.

To get started , there are 2 questions that you must answer yourself, first what niche you want to get into, second how am I going to promote the site, I recommend choosing a niche that u know well and u like, as for promotion, there are 2 ways, free or paid, if you have money to spare, you may use paid advertising , if not, you can use seo, article, facebook , social media, but it's going to take longer and more effort

      Hey!

If you want to take a long time, set yourself down around the forums and find out what you need.... usually free.

For a modest cost, take a short course, accelerates the process.

The sensible idea, find mentor that has done all the mistakes and learn from his/her ways.

I love this by Zig Ziglar

I learned a lot by reading, took a lot of small inexpensive courses from people who knew what i wanted to learn, youtube videos, implementing what I learned, made a ton of mistakes (and still do), and try again when something fails.

I remember first learning about how to put up a website. I spent an entire Saturday learning HTML from a free website. Then I had to learn hosting. I called the hosting company who helped me get the site up and running. But I knew nothing about these things when I first started so practice makes perfect.

Best advice I can give is to pick a system of making money through learning from a reputable master who has a proven track record in helping others succeed.

I'm personally working with a mentor at the moment - Alex Jeffreys. Wonderful guy and really wants his students to succeed and do well.

Learn - apply - master - and the money will follow

    Hope this helps mate

Clarity is a HUGE part of IM success. I hope this post brings some clarity. It's so simple when you know it -- and darn difficult when you don't! I owe my mentors a world of thanks for bringing this clarity.

IM is actually pretty simple: you can sell only one of two things:

    1. Products
    2. Services

    That's it!

And selling products or services online happens in the same basic way for everyone, no matter what they're selling:

    Traffic > Opt-in page > Autoresponder series (or e-zine) > Sales page

That's it! It's just that simple. (We IMers tend to overcomplicate things.)

But no matter what your niche is, or whether you're selling a product or a service, do you know what your business model is?

A business model is the framework or skeleton of your business. Essentially there are three types of online business models:

    1. Membership-based model

A membership-based business model allows you to build a community of people (your members) who are as passionate about your subject as you are. Your membership fees can be monthly or annual, but either way, you're building recurring, passive income.

There are a lot of resources and information out there to help you build a membership-based business if you're interested in doing this.

    2. Product-based model

Selling products allows you to maximize your time and effort by selling items over and over again. This can be hard goods or it can be information products. Information marketing is it's own business model under the product-based model. Information marketing allows you to take your brain to the bank by creating a product ONCE based on what you know and selling it over and over again.

Affiliate marketing falls under both models. You can choose to market either products or services as an affiliate.

    3. Service-based model

Selling services can be great for 1) generating quick cash (as in the case of article writing or video producing) and 2) establishing your expertise and getting testimonials.

However, in the long run, your goal should be to offer services at a PREMIUM. The biggest advantage of IM is LEVERAGE. You're able to leverage your time, money and expertise exponentially online. We all have just 24 hours each day. Time to get ruthless about what you expect for those hours you spend in IM each day. Expect more of yourself and more from your business friends, clients, partners, etc.

What results are you getting for those hours you spend online each day? Ultimately, your services should be at the bottom of your funnel and cost the most since they involve your time and personal attention. (We all have a limited amount of time each day.)

The fun (and confusion) comes in with all of the endless mix-and-match possibilities of the above models. If you're just starting or still struggling to make money, keep it simple:

    Pick just ONE!

    1. Pick ONE niche. (Something you're interested in and know something about.)

    2. Pick ONE target market for your product or service. (Who will buy what you're offering? The more specific you are, the more you narrow it down, the more successful you'll be.)

    3. Pick ONE business model.

Now that you're clear about what business you're in, FOCUS! (And stop buying any info not related to your niche and target market, period!)

    F -- Follow
    O -- One
    C -- Course
    U -- Until
    S -- Successful

And remember: build a list, Build a List, BUILD A LIST!

In IM, it's easy to put the cart before the horse. Take a deep breath, step back and consider what type of business you REALLY want. Don't worry about getting traffic or buying that expensive traffic product until you know 1) what your business model is, 2) what niche you're in and 3) WHO your target market is!

Successful business people will tell you that MARKETING is more than half the effort that's needed for success anyway. So pick a niche, target market and business model. Then spend most of your time and effort marketing it.

If you DON'T have a solid plan or system, THAT'S when it's hard. A good system will shave YEARS (and save you big $$$) off of your learning curve

That's why I recommend investing in at least one good, comprehensive IM course (or mentor who will give you such a system) instead of jumping from one $37 e-book to the next. A lot of people here complain about not being able to make any money. But neither are they willing to invest in their business. (Buying a random bunch of $37 e-books doesn't count.)

The best thing I ever did was invest in a comprehensive IM course aimed at REAL business owners, not just other IM wannabes. Yes it was $1500. (It's no longer available.) But it was truly some of the best A-Z IM info I ever bought. Everything else I've learned (from the $37 e-books) since has simply been plugged into this system.

My two best recommendations for phenomenal IM training programs are Ali Brown's Elevate program (ElevateBizTraining.com) and Jeff Walker's Product Launch Formula (ProductLaunchFormula.com)

Get a solid plan or system and then work the plan!

    Hope this helps!

    Step 1 – Finding a “Niche”
I farking hate the word niche, it’s just one of those buzzwords IM (internet marketers) use to describe a sector/product/market that you can advertise or promote, in order to gain you a commission. For instance photography, fitness, anime could be a niche.
For your first website I would suggest focussing on something that YOU are interested in, so that you have the foundation knowledge and interest to keep you going. For instance, if you are interested in collecting flesh lights, make a website reviewing them, etc. I would also suggest promoting real products, as I find the ebooks are all dodgy as hell.

    Step 2 – Finding a domain name
Now you have a niche that you wish to promote, you need to find a name for your website. The best place for ideas is with the google keywords tool; https://adwords.google.com/o/KeywordTool.
You will want to have a look at finding a niche that has a decent search numbers. Pay no attention to the competition section as that relates to PPC advertising.

Step 3 – Setting up hosting
Now that you have a domain, you need to get somewhere to host it. Hostgator are generally the cheapest/easiest to use.

Step 4 – Transfering the Domain to your Hostgator account
Now you need to log in to your GoDaddy account, in order to change the domain over to your new hosting account. You will receive an email from Hostgator specifying your nameservers. Once logged in it should bring you to your domains list, click onto the domain, which should bring you to the page shown below.

Step 5 – Sign up for affiliate Networks
Now that you have a website you can sign up for affiliate networks.

Step 6 – Setting up your website
Now that you have everything set up, you can begin building your own website.

Step 7 – Adding content and promoting the website
From here all that is left is filling your website with the content and promoting your site. You can focus on doing product reviews, helpful information. Anything really that will get the person reading, clicking on your links.

There is not end of learning in IM. The more you learn and take action, you will be stepping towards success. You must choose one way before starting at IM. If you have too many ideas running in your mind together, you will never be able to do A thing.
