Google's policies are constantly changing. if i direct traffic to my site through Adwords... will Google get upset with an opt in form on the site???

I have been doing this for a while so here is what you need to know:

If you put a straight squeeze page up it won't get approved and you will start a very lengthy and painful google approval process...trust me, I've been through it twice.

What you need to do is install wordpress on your site and put up a simple blog with 5-10 posts related to your topic. At the top of each post you can have your optin form. You can send traffic to those pages without an issue...as long as you have content under the form and links in the right column to other content. The other plus of doing it this way is you can have a keyword targeted article under the optin form then use that keyword for your adwords ads.

Google just needs to see the page as providing useful content and not a data collection page which is against their terms.

I know it's a bit more work than a simple squeeze page but f you do this, you're golden.

This is a perfect option and a lot of us do it this way. I just place a opt-in box at the top right before the content.

I believe that Google does not like any site that seems to be scam. You
can try to make your Squeeze Page to be AdWords-friendly. But, I am
not quite sure that having an optin would violate Google's policies. As
long as it is an actual and professional looking website, you should not
    be worried.

You can have a look at this ARTICLE that I searched up for you.
