Whats up guys. Quick question. If I already have a regular static review site, should I create a review blog too? Will I be wasting my time promoting both? Should I just ditch the regular review site and keep the blog site? Any advantages of promoting both? I really like the template for the regular site, it looks very professional which is one of the main reasons I want to keep it. I understand the advantages of the blog. Better rankings, rss, etc. Which is the reason why I want to create a review blog. I just don't know if it will be worth while to continue to promote the static site if I chose to get the blog. What do you think? |

Hire someone (like me ) to convert your static HTML design into a WordPress blog. So your visitors will see exactly what you currently have on your site's homepage. And you will have a new additional link in the header/sidebar that says 'Blog' where you can post periodic updates.

The problem is - if you start promoting both then you have split your efforts between them and each will be 50% less effective than if you just promoted 1. You could add the blog to the same domain - which would be the best of both worlds. Promote 1 site until it is humming along and getting lots of traffic and making money before you branch out. However - adding a blog to the domain is a good way to go as then as you add lots of new content - you should get lots of organic traffic. |

Hey Mikeb, I suggest you do what sridhar says, because wordpress blog is easy to maintain and it is far more SEO friendly than any website will ever be. Igor |
