Tracking MY Affiliates???

OK, we all know about a list.

Here's my question.

Let's say I have a product on Clickbank. I have a guy (Affiliate - A) that sends me 100 visitors per day.

Another affiliate (Affiliate - B) sends 100 visitors etc.

This is decent, quality traffic that's going straight to a sales page currently.

No problem! Each affiliate has his own link right?

I want to send that traffic to a squeeze page.......now, how do I know who sent me the traffic that made the sale? Sales coming from follow-up emails. How do I credit each affiliate appropriately?

I'm sure I could do it manually, but am guessing somebody waaaay smarter than me already has a more automated way of doing this.

Thanks for any feedback.

Ed

  • When you have a product on Clickbank, it's the Clickbank system that does the crediting to the appropriate affiliate. Not you. Thus when you receive a sale via a Clickbank affiliate, it will show in your stats who the affiliate was that sent the traffic, once you log into Clickbank.

    It's actually on JVZoo.

Anyhow, I'm still confused. The affiliate sends people to a squeeze page.....How do I make sure the affiliate gets paid when the sale happens on the 3rd or 4th email from my autoresponder series?

I don't know any serious, professional affiliates who are willing to do that.

      I'm certainly not.

If you're intending to collect the email addresses of my subscriber-traffic before they've bought and paid for the product, I'll just choose another vendor's product to promote, instead.

And so will most successful, serious affiliates.

This thread explains why at length and in detail (I know your product isn't on ClickBank: that doesn't matter - the point's more or less the same): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...oduct-opt.html

      That isn't the problem.

The problem is/would be how to convince the affiliate that they're going to be paid after you've collected their subscriber's email address yourself and are directly in contact with him/her. If there are other vendors not giving affiliates that problem - and there are - then almost all the serious, pro-affiliates (exactly the ones whom you want to attract?) are understandably going to promote the other vendors' products in preference to yours.

Bottom line: successful affiliates who do this for a living don't send traffic to vendors' squeeze pages. Call us picky, but we want our customers to get the follow-up emails from us, not from you.

JVZOO should automatically collect the leads. I know W+ does or just divert them to to an opt-in after they purchase. But CPVlab can certainly help.

This isn't about "after they purchase".

It's about "before they purchase": the OP wants his affiliates to send their traffic to a squeeze page!

Yeap, use CPVlab and create a link for each affiliate.

    Ed, JVzoo handles it automatically...

When setting up your product, in the box that says 'landing page' put in the URL of the squeeze page then where it says "Send all traffic to Sales Page after launch date/time" click on the circle that says "no".

For the "sales page URL" put in the URL of the sales page where the JVZoo 'buy now' button is located: 2014-07-18_0040 - MarkHess's library

The affiliate links to the offer will lead to the squeeze page where the visitor gets cookied for the product. If the product is later purchased the affiliate would get credit for the sale provide that the affiliates cookie is still in the buyers browser. This can be even months down the road you just need to mail out links to the raw sales page in your emails.
