add rss feed to Amazon authors page?

5 replies
I am setting up an authors page on Amazon, and one of the things I need is an link to an RSS feed on my wordpress blog. So I need to set up an rss feed on my wordpress blog and then I need to know what my rss link is. Can anyone tell me (1)how to set up an rss feed on my wordpress blog and (2) how to know what the link to the rss feed on my blog would be so I can post it on the Amazon authors page? Thanks so much for your help. Edward Smith.

    Most Wordpress templates automatically add an RSS feed to your site by default
    The address will usually be whateveryoursiteiscalled.com/feed

    if that doesn't work try /rss
    or /rss-feed

    If for some reason you don't have a feed at all you can make one at a site like feedity.com

    Hope that helps

      Sorry to ask a stupid question Tim, but how can I tell if the rss feed is there or not when I look at my site? Thanks Ed

        Hey Edward, there are no stupid questions, because they aren't stupid if you don't know the answer :-)

        Here's what you do,

        Load your site home page in your browser, right click on your mouse, from the pop-up menu select 'View Page Source'
        Somewhere near the top of the page
        you will see a link that begins with...
        <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Your Site &raquo; Feed" href="http://yoursite.com/feed/" />

        If that line is there, with that link then you are good to go

    Sorry I'm tired and my brain hurts :-)

    I should also have said just add your site address in the browser URL bar and add /feed on the end of the .com see what happens when you press Enter.
