Hi, How do I market my website and product (its a bit different!)

3 replies
this my website: tameyourparents.com

The product I am selling is kind of nasty, many of you may not agree to which.

I have little experience in running websites.

I am selling my ebook for 20 USD. I plan to sell it to 400k people so I can retire before I turn 20 years old.

What I would find really helpful is techniques on marketing, important vital elements which you believe are like the foundation of selling, suggestions on improving my website, suggestions on making it 'a trend'.

Ultimately I believe in this case, fame=fortune.

Thanks for your help

    Hi
    I took a look at your site, and its a pretty sensitive topic. Just expect reactions good/bad since most of the marketeers these days are parents. But certainly its very unique.

      Vinesh,

      One of the first things I learned from Dan Kennedy was that everyone thinks their product, service, business, whatever is DIFFERENT, but what it all boils down to is being able to market your business.

      Your marketing efforts need to be the same as marketing for any other product. Doesn't matter if your business is "different."

      The fact that it's a unique topic isn't unique. Does that make sense?

      Learn as much as you can here on the WF and put what you learn into practice.

      Use the "search" feature to pull up various topics that you'll need to know, like:

      * article marketing
      * traffic to your site
      * blogging
      * list-building
      * ezines / newsletters
      * etc.

      As you read through these topics, don't even think about saying, "But my business is different."

      Instead, think about how you can take the basic blueprints laid out and plug your business into it.

      Don't think, "That all sounds great, but my business is (different / unique / a coffee shop / online / offline / a product / a service / coaching / membership program / digital download / physical product to ship)."

      Think of it more like laying your business down on top of the blueprint and making it fit the marketing plan.

    That is probably one of the best retirement plans I have ever heard. I tried looking up some related keywords you could use but honestly, there aren't to many. The best thing you could do is make a game, funny videos, jokes related site and put that as a product on the site.
