Problems with Skype Billing - Important if you use any of their paid services
After contacting Skype I was informed that a refund would be given, once I completed a claim form.
Unfortunately, said form was incredibly long and asks for details that are very in depth - such as month and year you joined as well as bank and PayPal details.
After filling in the form (three times now) I'm being repeatedly told that a refund cannot be issued as the information I've provided is wrong.
So first I'd like to ask if any other warriors have had the same, or a similar, problem, and how you've resolved it.
And second, after doing a little rersearch online, I've discovered that I'm not alone, and hundreds, maybe thousands, of other Skype users have had exactly the same problem.
So I'm putting out a warning to fellow warriors who use services like 'Skype forwarding', 'Skype Credit' or 'Skype numbers to go', to beware.
Keep a close watch on your accounts, make sure you have email alerts set up for all charges and don't hold out much hope if you are a victim.
But most of all, I want to hear from anyone who has managed to get round these stalling tactics and got a refund back from Skype after being hacked.
Alternatively, if you can direct me to an online resource (legal advisors, help sites or the like) where I can get some help in reclaiming my cash, I'd love to know.
Stop by Paul's Pub - my little hangout on Facebook.
