Video software advice

Hi,

I have done a LOT of research into 'making money online'. Sadly I seem to suffer from analysis paralysis, but am trying to overcome this. I am confident that I am on the cusp of making something great, but my standards are high (I think that my first solo site will need to be something I believe in).

I do not underestimate the power of video in IM, whether its for reviews or gaining trust. Can you tell me what video software you rate (Windows only). Things like fading in/out, cutting, adding text, using greenscreen...

I'd like to start free (realise I am asking a lot), but happy to pay once I am generating income.

So...best free Windows based video package and best budget video package.

Thank you for your time

    You're asking for quite a lot aren't you :-)

Let me break it down for you and newbies that may be reading this thread :-)

For Video RECORDING - You can of course use your web cam if you're filming yourself, or if you want to go very INFORMAL - just use your smart phone and upload the recording to your PC. I do iPhone videos all the TIME and they look and sound great. Plus the fact that they're NOT professionally done adds to the credibility I think.

For Screen Capture (ie: record what you're doing) use Jing (free, 5 minute limit though and not high quality) or Replay Video Capture ($40 I think, one time payment - high def recordings)

For Video EDITING - use Windows Movie Maker - 100% Free and should come installed on your PC

Green Screen Software - no idea, but if you have a green screen - don't most come with or recommend software?

Another option - you can always outsource via fiverr.com and have videos of many different styles created or even edited for you.

    Hope this helps! :-)
