Is there a FREE Camtasia Program out there?

I know Camtasia is the Cadillac of desktop recording programs, but is there a low-cost/FREE software that is decent for a beginner?

Camstudio. It does everything I need, and I've never even considered paying for Camtasia. Just make sure you tweak the configuration to get the best results (there a several YouTube videos on the subject).

I think there's a free trial... but really... if you have the funds to do so go ahead and buy the program. You'll make the investment back in no time if you add video/screencapture to your "bag of tricks".

If you REALLY NEED free screencapture software you can go to jingproject dot com and download that.
