Hi I'm new to warrior forum and I'm looking for advice!

Hey Everyone!

My name is Coleman Reyna and I am very new to niche video marketing! As a matter of fact, I am actually an animator who creates the actual videos that sell. Before, I spent a few years freelancing as a traditional and digital artist, and I never saw the results I was looking for. Again, I am an artist, and I really had no idea how to run a business at all!

So one day (about a year ago) I found Odesk, and me being clueless, I had no idea that the site was generally for outsourcing. Well, with that being said, I began making videos for clients WAY under minimum wage, because I simply thought that my payments would go up with experience! Needless to say, they did not and I continued making next to nothing for what I consider some good animation if I don't say so myself!

Recently, I was approached on desk and was asked WHY I was working for so little, and I explained with the answer above.. Well, this is when I realized that I had no future working on odesk, and I left the site.

The person who got me off of odesk offered me to partner with him, and help him create these sets of video marketing videos. I animated ten different videos targeting ten different business niches. He has been teaching me the ins-and-outs of this process, so I now see how truly clueless I was! We just launched the first set of our videos, and they are successful so far... but I still need help from you guys!

I was referred to this forum to get help. Look, I am better educated than the freelancer I once was a few years back, but I feel like I still don't hardly know anything on the business end of my kind of work. I know After Effects like the back of my hand, and I can animate pretty well, but don't ask me to sell anything I make...because I can't!

And I have tried to do some own personal research, but I just get drowned in all the information provided, and even the stuff that I do find, it just goes right over my head.

So I guess, what I am asking for is someone to at least explain this niche business market to me in terms I can comprehend. I need to know the business end of my work, but it just seems like all this information is on the opposite side of the spectrum compared animation! I am just so lost, and I want to be good at this! Very badly! Because It is so frustrating working in a professional environment, and not knowing information that I should.

Anyways, so this is my story, and I currently just need help taking my next few steps. For anyone who has read this post through, I greatly appreciate it, and thank you so much in advance for any help or insight that you may give me. I can't wait to get started using this forum!

Thanks,

Coleman Reyna

    Hi Coleman,

You're in the perfect niche. If you can do whiteboard videos well, you can make a lot of money. You have to put yourself in front of buyers. What I would suggest to you - to get your feet wet - is go over to fiverr.com and create an account, and research others who are in your field...

Then I would consider offering the same type of service, so you can begin making money. Just take a look at what others are offer and simply duplicate it. This will get your feet wet, and help you put money in your pocket.

Then I would look for ways to promote your fiverr whiteboard gig on other places. But first, get listed so people can see your gig and you can do more of what you're good at.

Well, firstly, welcome to the forum.

This forum can help by showing you how you can set up your web presence and promote your website online. It can also help when you are looking for customers.

In its simplest terms, you need to look for a market niche containing potential customers, (who own credit cards!!) and who have a problem that you can solve. Then you should develop a website that promotes your products and services as the solution to their problem. The greater their pain, the more profitable the niche.

There is no single source of this information although Warrior Forum will definitely have a lot of the answers.

    Good luck.
