I can get a free domain for Hostgator?
I know in other free hosting they give free domains
but on Hostgator I can get a free domain ?
I don't need .com/.net/.org domain
so I don't want to pay 15$

Don't let a free domain be the deciding factor, judging from all the complaints Hostgator hosting is horrible now.

I have never heard of a free domain with hostgator but that really shouldn't matter because you can always get lots of cheap domain's everywhere with coupons.

I have been using Hostgator for years with no problems. I use them mostly for Wordpress. As far as a free domain, I think you can still get one free with your hosting plan at Bluehost.

  • Nothing comes to mind but was looking around a few weeks ago and there are still many companies that do include domain. I suggest keyword phrase "hosting with free domain" to call them up.

      I strongly suggest avoiding that.

It makes no sense at all to host a site and register its domain in the same place. In fact it's a very poor and risky idea, which hundreds of Warriors have deeply regretted trying, to save a buck or two. This thread explains why, in some detail: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7628717

It wasn't, actually, Mr. Lim: appearances can be deceptive. It was made today, but has now been removed by the moderators (it was spam).

They chose not to remove the post after it (now post #8), though - which was made before that was deleted, presumably by someone who hadn't noticed the dates - as often happens.

And the "advice" offered in that post was so painfully misguided and inappropriate that I decided to correct it, since the thread was already "bumped" anyway and the moderators had evidently decided not to remove that as well (which I did suggest).

It's not easy: personally, I'd have removed everything after post #7 and left the thread in peace, and taken it back off the front page into obscurity after the spammer bumped it, but that's just my own opinion.

      Now you know.
