Web browser bookmarks/favorites - Firefox, Internet Explorer etc.

Does anyone have any good suggestions on how I can organise my bookmarks/favorites better for useful sites I have visited?

Instead of just relying on the usual bookmark/favorites organisers in Firefox and Internet Explorer, is there any software that does a better job than these two?

I have hundreds if not a few thousand of favorites from the last few years and I want a better way of organising them. Otherwise something gets bookmarked and never gets visited again!

Thanks,

Sam

I use mindjet mindmanager software. it's not free but there are free versions out there. but it let's me put a topic like 'article writing' and then paste my hyperlink in there. I I can easily drag and drop my links to go into whatever category suits my mood that day.

    Thanks Mande,

That might be a bit more complicated than what I need. But I will check it out.

I was wondering if there was some kind of stand alone software just for organising bookmarks/favorites, or a better addon to Firefox and IE.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Sam

I am not aware of any software like that, but I am using Xmarks, to sync my bookmarks between browsers and computers

Yeah, I was using Delicious, but decided to switch back to Firefox using Xmarks. I also use a combination of Evernote if I'm researching a subject, which automatically links back to the website if you copy data into it from a browser.
