I think that guy needs major improvement, from the poor spelling he seems foreign.

He also needs to find a better advertising platform.

I don't think you need to be fluent in English to succeed in IM. There are ways to get around that, like someone else to do the writing for you. In this case however it seems to be a careless mistake. You should go over your work then go over it again.

I do agree that being fluent in English is a good skill to have. This is why I have invested a lot of money in coaching, traveling and living in English speaking countries.

However, from a practical point of view, a read-proffer is cheap. If you have a skill that can be monetized at $100/hour, let's say being an expert in Google AdWords, then you can simply hire someone, a native speaker for $10/hour.

I know of a woman who made over five figures per month and she wasn't even capable of speaking English. She had great marketing skills, experience in business but everything she wrote had to be translated, usually in real time by another person.

    PLUS ...

Modern word processors come with GREAT proofing tools. For example, Google Docs uses the same engine as Google itself. It corrects not based on a dictionary but based on context. In one particular example, it corrected an author name only after I've wrote the book, which is amazing as far as I'm concerned.

Everything in that example could have been corrected with "F7".

I wonder what Google Docs' proof reader would correct 'read-proffer' to?

You just have to love what you do and be damn serious about it. He should have paid more attention to his ad copy (if it's not a new trick he's trying to pull off to get more conversions) or simply hired someone to do it properly.

It pains me to see how people waste resources and usually these are the guys who end up defaming products/platforms etc. saying they don't work.

Yes that's a big mistake, but don't we make them all

I don't really agree with your statement though. You don't need to know a word of English to succeed in IM. In my language (Dutch) a lot of people make full time incomes online by doing what we do in English. There's a payment processor similar to clickbank with 20K+ affiliates which you probably never even heard of and a forum with a marketplace just like the Wso section.

And that's a very small region (Belgium and the Netherlands)

But i get your point, if you make English sites you better not make mistakes like this...

Hey guys, I think having good English skills will definitely help with IM. However, sometimes I make mistakes myself even though I am fluent. I have not made such a mistake before, but I know that when I write ad copies for example, I will always have to go back and proof read just in case! Sometimes it's just the stumpy fat fingers and typos lol

You don't need to be fluent in English. Use your mother language. Corner the local market. Still tons of money to be made! Imagine if you could dominate China or India!

As it is, the ad could use some improvement. But, there may be an opportunity here.

What if the ad was amended as such:

"Make money from hom. Even if you can't spell."

    Very smart thought Michael!

Having fluent English is a plus but not a must. You have the local market to capture, you have to outsourcing route, you have the ghost writers. And if you are a techie - who cares if you are fluent in English as long as you create a killer app.

LOL that's the funniest thing I've seen today. On the other hand it might be a smart move to stand out if you think about it, you never know what brings the most clicks if you don't try it... I'm talking from experience.

I believe this is actually becoming "the norm" on the internet. We want to type faster and publish faster. It's probably part of the fast-paced world we live in these days. I see it happening with people who are fluent more and more.

I see countless professional websites misspelling things every bloody time I read an article. IGN.com is exceptionally bad, for example. Super professional website, but I can't read an article without finding a mistake or three.

Oh well, nobody's perfect - not me, not them, no one. So I try to be understanding about it... to a point.

It's a paid to click site. Someone is going to click the ad anyway to earn a few cents and probably be directed to an affiliate site they have seen before. I don't think you need to be fluent inn English to succeed in IM. You could have perfect grammar in English and be a total failure at IM.

Hilarious but it DID get your attention and you DID (hopefully unwittingly) raise the BRAND awareness of the brand in that graphic. Good point about bad spelling though...

The misspelled ad received 30 comments on Warrior Forum. Quite an achievement I'd say!

I'm English, speak English, write English and make tons of spelling errors. Oddly, I see other people's but never my own.

When there are deficiencies, they need be eliminated - if not, then offset.
This makes the playing field level for each marketer.

If you have a deficiency and do nothing to nullify it's negative impact to your effort, then you simply suffer it against what other positives there may be - if any.

Any deficiency can be overshadowed by a greater positive value. The greater the perceived negative, the greater the need to greatly multiply the positive value of the offer.

Simply the offer needs to be of sufficient value to your target market to make them overlook / suffer the negative. That threshold differs depending on the target market.

Negatives are strong hurdles to overcome in order to achieve sales.
