Is anyone in the student loan consolidation niche? Curious if it's worth getting into.

    No...

    But the student loan crisis is at a fever pitch.

    Give students an alternative to the current, broken higher education financial model... or give them a real chance at getting an ROI. There's your market.

    P.S. College is our birthright. It should be affordable - if not free. The future of our country is on the line... and the US government shouldn't be profiting off of this... footing the bill on taxpayers.

    Unfortunately it's more than that. Requiring students to purchase very expensive textbooks where little of the content has changed from previous versions, special edition books that are custom to the university and have little resale value afterwards, requiring students to stay on overpriced dorms and forcing meal olans, etc.

    I could go on forever how broken the college education system is.

    I generally think that there are few things which will never go away. Healthcare and education are among them. Everyone wants education and things that are linked to education will thrive. For your specific niche, you could work out various things which could include tips on getting the best student loan at the cheapest price, top 10 student loans, compare student loans, tips on getting/negotiating a student loan...there are so many possibilities. Pick one and excel it!

    Thanks for the replies everyone. To be more specific...i'm more so talking about marketing a service. I have a friend that has a loan consolidation company. He currently buys leads, but said as a late they haven't been converting and werent exclusive. He knows nothing about internet marketing. Just from the little I have learned on this forum, I told him that he may want to look into securing his own leads...rather than "buying" a lead. Explained to him that a website and sales page is what he needed, and then just drive traffic to those locations. Have I steered him in the right direction?
