Blue Squares has it right on - the JSN Epic Pro theme is the only theme I have really been able to use and understand. I have used it for the last four websites I have done - and NONE of them look the same. Not only that, but the customer service is wonderful.

I've used JSN Epic Pro and I liked it. I would try switching to Drupal if I were you though, much larger community and much cleaner lightweight cms.

Barrie North and Casey Lee at JoomlaShack make some great themes... and they work very well for SEO. All their sites rank well. As do the ones I'm using their themes on. They also do a great newsletter that is worth subscribing too. Joomla Tutorials, Free Joomla Templates and Downloads - Compass Design is one of his sites as well.
