What's the best hype program you know that's still around?

Hi,
what's the best hype program that's still around that you know?
I think I need to learn about the psychological behind the sales page etc.

What I mean the hype is not just about the promise, but the way they market and sell the program...

What do you think?

If you're looking for longevity, then hype is NOT the way to go; genuine delivery of quality product/service is.

If you're looking for a quick buck, then you can find hype all over the place; not much that's lasted longer than 6mths, though... (not that I know of).

Assuming you're going to learn to stick with longevity... the psychology behind the sales page is to connect with your demographic's inner desires. Give them what they want.. and if you're good, you can give it to them before they even know they want/need it.

I would start with the basics.

You can find most, if not BETTER information on the basics of copywriting with some of the classic books.

Search for some $5 kindle books by these guys to start:

    Gary Halbert

    Dan Kennedy

    Bob Bly (robert bly sometimes)

    Claude hopkins

    Eugene Schwartz

    John Caples

    Joe Sugarman

    Ogilvy

    Robert Cialdini

I could go on, but once you read one.. just check amazon for the "also bought" section and you are bound to have an endless supply of the tried and true best teachings from the best

Once you are ready... try to score a copy of the Bencivenga 5000 (or something like that) and you will be set forever.

You will be writing your own checks from now on.

Don't go looking for the quick fix. Learn copywriting the REAL way... make an investment... and you will be paid the rest of your life

I'm not clear what your purpose is, in wanting to do that, but it could be a better and more productive use of your time, maybe, to study the psychology of things that work, rather than things that alienate people and lose business?

The specific examples that spring to mind for me (because I happen to make most of my living as a ClickBank affiliate) are ClickBank sales pages with "hype" on them. These are typically the products of naive/inexperienced vendors who have either done their own copy by copying things that don't work, or have bought copy from someone pretending to be a copywriter, who did the same thing. The affiliates those sales pages reliably and regularly don't attract are the 5% of ClickBank affiliates who collectively make over 95% of the sales.
