My Paypal problems and advice needed

Evening All

On the 15th June I was hit by PayPal by them placing one of those limitation thingies on my account - I'm allowed to take cash in, but I can'r send it out.

It all happened after a ghost 90 buck transaction, ie an unauthorised transaction that I caught going through the account.

I immediately complied with all their change of password and all other bits of security that they need, but they still ain't lifting the limitation. Thats even after one of their customer care (??) people told me it would be lifted within 1-2 days, although they said that as these things are queued it may take a little longer.

I'm now having my subscriptions being cancelled, one of which is a hosting account running a few of my businesses. I even want to set up a WSO, which i can't do becuase of the account. I think it will be a killer, but I don't want to let them benefit from my cash.

Can any of you guys who have been in similar situations give any advice?

Can you start another account to use until the main one is freed up? At least that would save your hosting.

Sign up with Alertpay in the meantime and then offer both options.

2checkout.com might be a good option for you as well. Many hosting services use them as well, or have other means of taking payment. 2checkout is a third party processor like Clickbank and Paypal.

What I would do is, contact each of your subscription service providers and ask for another payment method, explaining to them that you are currently having Paypal problems. What I have found is that sometimes a provider will take more than one way of payment but prefer to take Paypal because of the relatively quick "clearing time" to access the money.

PayPal catches you signing up for another account fraudulently (read their TOS for what kind and how many accounts you can have) and you can expect to not see any of your money for six months and have your account canceled besides.

I have several PayPal accounts - because of my various sites and businesses. The only issue with that is you have to set up each account with a different bank account which is a pain in the bum.

I had no idea you weren't supposed to set up multiple accounts.

    Hmmm.....

Kevin, call them again and ask to talk to a supervisor
not some foot soldier, this way you get straight to
    the people that matters..

I had issues with them a long time ago and that's what
I did call and ask to speak to some that is in charge.

STAY AWAY FROM THE FOOT SOLDIERS....lol

It always happens with paypal. Most of them end up with problems. That is why most people prefer online bank transaction or an EFT.
