I need to send my friend some files that are over 40mb. So my email won't handle it. Is there some file transfer program sorta like skype that we can use? Seems like we should be able to use skype, but I couldn't find anything about file transfers.

Go to http://www.getdropbox.com you get two gigs of free space and can share files with anyone. If it's a one off, upload you file to your public folder and generate a public link and email it to your friend, he clicks the link and gets the file.

Yeah, you can use a free online storage service also which might be a little faster / easier than the transferring of files through skype. mediafire.com rapidshare.com megaupload.com |

you must upload to online storage service either like megaupload.com or mediafire.com I recommend you mediafire... rapidshare is very slow if using free membership.. |

Or you can use teamviewer. It has no limit of transferring. |
