To be honest with you... A lot to say the least. Especially when you are just starting out. If the conversion is 2% for a 100 dollars product, then you can easily make 2 sales everyday putting at least 200 dollars a day or 6000 dollars a month in your pocket. Plus you also have 2 new customers daily or 60 new customers per month. Simple math... Takes you far ahead. |

How long is a piece of string? With a $7 product, even with well targeted visitors, probably very little. With a $1000 product, quite a lot. Jens |

| A friend of mine had a blog consulting client. He was making tens of thousands of dollars a month. With tens of visitors a day, never more than a hundred. . . . He was an affiliate who sold JCB, tractors and farm machinery! |

With all due respect to the responders on this thread, it's baffling to me how incomplete these responses are. You can have 100 visitors a day and make $10,000 per month.....but you can also have 100 visitors a day and make absolutely nothing. It depends on critical factors that no one has even mentioned. 1) The market - Who are they? Are they rabid buyers? How desperate are they for a solution to their want/problem? (hint: many markets simply don't buy so those 100 people could be lookers) 2) The visitors - Who are they? Where are they coming from? 3) Your sales and marketing - What's the offer? How good is the copy? How quickly can you build credibility & rapport with them? Is the sales/marketing strategy you are using consistent with the existing behavior of the market? (hint: most marketers miss this completely) 4) The product/service - What are you selling them? How much is it? Do they even want it? Bottom line - unlike what the books and courses say it is not just a matter of simple math (e.g. getting a 1-2 % conversion). There's much more to it. Note the number of posts here that say things like "I've done A, B, C, D and E but don't have a single sale yet" and you will see what I mean. There are multiple factors that come into play. But the simple key is knowing the market, the competition within the market, and most of all the existing behavior of the market inside and out. Ken |

Hi Ken, Thanks for such an excellent post! I'm really intrigued by what you've hinted at--knowing the existing behaviour of the market completely--Could you elaborate on that please? Would love to know more--Thanks! Lakshmi |

What is the point of asking the question? Obviously, it will depend greatly on what you are selling and your conversion rate. But why the assumption of 100 visitors, as if you can never get 200 or 500 or more? This is like asking how much you can make from a $10 product, without knowing how many units you can sell? |

That is an impossible question to answer without a LOT more information, as several people have pointed out here. Are you selling something on the site? Is it an affiliate product? Is it your own product? How much does it cost? How effective is your copy? Are you selling directly from the site or using it to get a list of people who you then sell more to later? Where are these visitors coming from? Article marketing, PPC? If you use both you would find that some traffic converts better than others - and you wouldn't know which until you used both and tested. Without more specifics this is bascially like asking "How much can you make from affiliate marketing?" Millions, or zero. |

I should clarify what I meant. This question should have been: If you are recieving 100 unique visitors a day - how much can YOU (personally) make out of the visitors. In dollar value. So; If you are getting 200 visitors to your website and you are making $50 - Your answer would be; $25 Just after estimations of what YOU personally can make from 100 Visitors a day. Make Sense Now? |

If your visitors are 100 targeted to your web site, you should convert at least 5% to 7%.

Ken, would you please explain more. I want to learn more about what you said, as I have a site that I and the market don't seem to match up, and that is frustrating. Thanks. Is the sales/marketing strategy you are using consistent with the existing behavior of the market? (hint: most marketers miss this completely) |

There is no definitive answer. Each situation is truly organic. Questions to ask yourself: 1. Did you pay to get those 100 visitors to your site (i.e. PPC)? If so, how much? 2. What's your profit margin on the product you sell? 3. Are getting them to opt-in to your list? 4. What's the life time value of your prospect (on your list) or customer? For example, you might sell "back end" products) 5. Is your sales copy optimized and converting well? Just a few ideas to get you thinking about what kind of a result you can acheive... |

| I once walked into a travel agents and said beach ![]() I have a website making me about $35 from an average of 140 visitors a day although I must say I haven't check the stats recently. Of course, if you have an optin form and killer sales funnel you could be making $200 a day from those 100 visitors. It all boils down to the quality of the traffic AND offer. Louis |

That depends almost entirely on who those visitors are, what they want, and where they're coming from. If you give me 100 visitors to my site...all people who've just spent $100 on one specific targeted product I would expect to make at least $5 to $20 a visitor. If they're completely untargeted people who have no interest in anything in particular you'll find it difficult to make a cent out of even 1,000 visitors. Kindest regards, Andrew Cavanagh |

Exactly. It depends on your conversion rate (which is affected by traffic quality, percieved value of offer, etc.) and your price point. | |

TARGETED visitors are the only visitors that can be monetised. If you have a website that sells 'resell rights' you must get your website on the first page on google results for the keyword 'resell rights' and then all visitors who searched for products with resell rights and who come to your site are very likely to buy your product. A 100 targeted visitors a day is a goldmine. But it's not fast process to get your site on first page in google, it requires work, time, investments and patience. Optimise your website for any profitable keyword set, get 100-150 targeted visitors a day (3000-4500 UV/month) and you have lasting income. If you are selling a good ebook for just $27 at only 1% conversion rate, you will have steady $800 - $1000 from your site. But it takes aproximatelly 6-12 months to come there for most profitable (competitive) keywords. |

I've seen some people making thousands of dollars with less than 100 people in their list and it always comes down to what kind of relationship you have with your list. Cheers, Joe |
