What things sell fast on craigslist?
(I'm not interested in selling the bigger items like cars, motorcycles, trailers - but I am interested in selling the smaller stuff - like tables, furniture, computers, iphones, tools, lawnmowers,
And the only thing I can think of as a way of figuring out what sells is....
I only have figured out that Craigslist is good for bikes and furniture, because I copied and pasted a bunch of peoples ads in particular categories just for a test to see how many responses I would get, and I found out that posting peoples bike ads and furniture ads got a lot of responses - so I knew if I posted items like them, I would indeed get a lot of responses, and make some money at it too.
A few days later after I found out that fact, I bought a used bike at a garage sale for $10, and put it on Craigslist. I got a total of 3 calls within the first few days, and by the 3rd call, I had sold it for $30, and that was my first sale using Craigslist I have ever had.
But I don't think my testing process is going smoothly anymore or as smoothly as I want to. Sometimes, people flag my fake posts. I wish there was an easier way to figure all this out to see what type of products are in demand.
Some of the peoples ads I posted were a stove, microwave, 3 pc/monitor, a washing machine, a Kolcraft bassinet, and a microwave. The only response I got was from the stove. 1 response total.
I posted all these ads on Thursday around 4:30-8 pm.
Now these were items I had previously heard about that were commonly selling on Craigslist.
Now I have also posted items that I actually DO have - such as a Craftsman electric weed wacker, an iron bird cage, a floor lamp, a floor fan - with no responses.
I live about 45 minutes to an hour away from Detroit, Michigan.
