Classified site - help

Hi All,

Looking for help on marketing strategy for my Classified site, which I am planning to start.

More on I am initially going for offline marketing like flyer distribution and thinking to start with Facebook viral campaign or teeshirt campaign.

Please suggest, what is best apart from what I am trying.

    Classified sites are not easy to get rolling, because you basically need 2 types of customers, people who list their stuff on your site and then people who buy their stuff.

    So i suggest you first focus on looking for people who want to list their stuff. Then you can make it go viral, for instance if they add something it gets posted on their facebook wall. That should drive a good amount of traffic to your site.

    Same to the buyers and sellers, once they list/buy an item, post it on their Facebook wall or twitter.

    Make sure you are different from the rest of the classified sites. Always find a USP to your business model.
