Keyword Forumulation Question

Let's say that I have a keyword which has a number with it. In the keyword research tools it appears like: "how to do 20 pushups". (not my KW lol)

When I want to create an EMD, should it be howtodo20pushups.com or howtodotwentypushups.com

Is there a difference between the two? Will the number be bolded in the second EMD?

Moderated: SEO questions should be posted in the Search Engine Marketing forum.

"Keyword" questions live here: Search Engine Optimization

Exact match domains have lost most/all of the former SEO advantages they had just by being EMD's.

That's not to say that they're "no good", of course.

In your examples, the one with "20" and the one with "twenty" are two different keywords. I know they're only examples, but I don't think either is a good domain-name, or "the right kind of idea" at all. They're long and cumbersome and unappealing. Just my perspective.

Here is a google search that I did for you

    top 10 female actors

    top ten female actors

So the answer to your question is you will register
    howtodotwentypushups.com

Although search results will not vary much in either EMD, it will surely be bolded for both twenty and 20 in second case.

Actually "20pushups.com" (don't know if it's registered already or not) sounds like a solid, brandable domain idea with a slight "web 2.0" touch to me. It's not a true EMD of course, but it's much more pleasant...

Agreed! It's much more memorable and likely to drive repeat traffic to your site. I know this from experience.

Twenty or 20, it doesn't matter. Google will most likely recognize them as being synonyms of each other. So, a website containing '20' in it's domain and title will also rank when the target keyword containing 'twenty' is searched for and vice versa.
