hello there,

i'm planning to start selling items from amazon, but the problem is that i don't know how to apply for amazon affiliate program. Also i want to know how big is the commission for each sold item??

i have checked links which you gave me . To be honest i did not expect to see such low commissions..
selling 1-6 products for 4% of profit is really bad!

  They offer 4% for selling 1 - 6 products and more % of comission after that and it is not really true. I have sold 8 products and it still says to sell 7 more items to increase % of comission. It is really a matter of upset. I didn't thought of it. Amazon product's competition is very high so i am trying making leads and getting good result. I am making average $4 everyday. so it means that if i sell 6 item they will pay me 4% of each item. am i right?

  Yes, you are right. So far i have found it. They told me at the first to sell 1-6 products to increase comission rate to 6% but no progress on comission after selling 8 products and require 7 more products to sell to get 6% comission. I am confused...

It is a simple progression

This is based on the number of products you sell in one period (one month).
Basically, the bigger you are, the more giving amazon becomes (to get the bigger sites to sell their products and keep them as affiliates)

Some product categories have fixed rates, like electronics (4%) or MP3s (5%).

This isn't so nice BUT some of those fixed rates are nice right off the bat
Game downloads 10%
Amazon coins 10%
Gift cards 6%

So it is a mixed bag.
For me, being an amazon affiliate is a matter of trust by the clients - people often don't think twice before ordering from amazon.
