Quesion for Amazon S3 Experts and Users: Does bucket upload to all Amazon Servers?

Hi,

2 Questions:

1) If you I upload data to USA S3 region, will that data also copy itself to all Amazon servers around the world (like Sydney, Europe, Asia)? Or it'll only stay in whatever region S3 I choose for the bucket?

2) Do I ever have to worry about Amazon deleting my bucket, hence loosing my files? I'm a business owner, and need 100% reliability that Amazon won't delete it due to perhaps expired credit card. Or someone submits a false DMCA about a picture that I'm hosting on S3, and Amazon simply chooses to terminate my account.

Thank you for your time.
Andre

    1) If using regular S3 then you select where you want the bucket located. Your files will be hosted from that one location only. If you use S3 Cloudfront instead then you upload the files to your bucket and they are then copied to all locations around the world so that users are served up the content from the bucket closest to them.

    2) I've never heard of this happening. I've been using S3 for years now and love it. Never had any issues at all.
