Anyone had any success with using a autoresponder with affiliate marketing?

So, usually a typical affiliate site will that have a couple of product reviews or comparisons which sends the visitor the the product website. Traffic usually consists of Articles, Videos, Other Web 2.0 Properties linking and PPC.

But has anyone had success with sending visitors to a squeeze page instead and offering them good content and following up with them? I only actually found out about this method a couple of weeks ago, and outside of the fact that if you want the quick sale or you're just reviewing products being sold by Amazon, CJ, etc I'd think this would be a better way than using the traditional affiliate site.

It would kind of work like a membership site in the way you create 30 autoresponder messages and just keep feeding leads into it.

Am I completely off my rockers here? Or would this method work?

    this is what I have done right from the start..
    I do have some reviews sites as well - but nothing makes me as much income as simply driving traffic to a squeeze page and promoting via my aweber account

    Completely agree. If you get a rabid audience and really learn email marketing, you can sell to a single person over and over and over again.
