Writing Articles is so DREADFUL!! I need Alternatives

I have a big game plan and I am willing to do all the work for my game plan except for writing the articles. I am going to be setting up some niche blogs but I want to have my posts/articles already written up. I have a total of 5 niches in mind.

Well I started to work on my first niche today and came to a complete road block. For some reason, I hate writing articles, well a bunch of them anyway. I need 30 articles to turn into blog posts and I have only written 2.

Does anyone have any other option than writing these myself. I am on a budget right now and the article writers I am looking at right now are too high for me now. The only other option is writing them myself but I just can't pull myself to do it. This is the only thing stopping me. *Sigh*

I need someone to encourage me or something. There has to be a way around this without spending hundreds of dollars.

Yeah, I know what you mean. All my life I've been coming up with these great plans, which almost immediately get torpedoed by the inconvenience of me having to do the work. Dang it.

At least now, with automation and global outsourcing, we can offset that a bit. We're lucky to be alive in this age.

great stuff charles, we are indeed lucky to be living in these exciting times. the opportunities are tremendous.

as for op. i think that the writing part is some of the easiest for me. if i wanted to make some quick cash i'd offer my services here.

but if you want to do it yourself, for a small investment of about a hundred bucks you can get dragon naturally speaking, and with just a bit of teaching you'll be able to talk your writing.

this could be an option for you.

I hate writing articles, but I did it anyway until I made enough money to buy PLR. I hated having to rewrite PLR but I did it anyway until I made enough money to outsource it. I hated to outsource my articles because I ended up having to rewrite them again, but I did it anyway until I made enough money to hire my own writers. I hated to have to post my own articles in the directories, but I did it anyway until I made enough money to hire more employees. Do you see a pattern here? There is nothing dreadful at all about this business now!

I think at textbroker.com you can get articles at low prices.

You can also find cheap writers from other countries. Their English and grammar won't be perfect, but if you hate writing, are on a budget and don't mind spending a few minutes proofreading and correcting any mistakes, it may be for you.

Forgive me if this seems a bit rude but... doesn't that mean the thing that is stopping you making money is you?

You recognise the need to take action, believe in your business plan and, I assume, believe you will be making money pretty quickly. Surely the best thing to do is bite the bullet, do what you hate until you have the capital to invest in your business and then invest that to get the quality you need.

My partner and I started one business, which she runs, and now I am starting another - and trust me it takes a lot of hard work and I have had to put myself through a huge amount of mind numbing hours doing stuff I hate (data entry, I hate data entry) just because it made more sense me doing it than investing capital that at that time we could ill afford.

Or, if you do hate it that much, find a way of making a few bucks quickly and then use that money to invest in article writers.

Ok everyone, I have read over all your responses here and I think I am well set on writing my own articles and go ahead and get this load off because I have 4 other sites that will need 30 articles a piece so I better get the ball rolling. I have lots of ideas of how to come up with some articles now. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

P.S. I don't mind spending money for articles, it's just I'm a single mom and saving money is my thing. If I can write my own articles for free instead of being lazy and paying for them, that's the better option for me. I was just blank when it came to writing my articles on this niche lol and thought it might be better to get someone else to do it but I got some great suggestions.

LOL! - that was funny, same thing happens to me!

But to address the OP - why not just use PLR articles? We already know that there is no duplicate content penalty so if you plan to promote your sites, which I assume you do, you can get as much out of those as unique articles. You might have to tweak a bit to get your keywords and, of course, you can't submit them to ezinearticles of buzzle.

Then again, that 99 cent WSO seems pretty good, I might have to check that out myself!

    It's all in the mind...

I hate writing articles too. Especially if they are on topics which don't interest me or I know nothing about them.

Over the years I've developed a few ways of getting around this - here are a few tips for writing web content:

Everybody has opinions, so instead of writing about a topic, imagine you are talking to somebody and give your opinion on the topic.

If the topic is something you have some experience or knowledge about, imagine your Mom has asked you a question and you are explaining how to...

When you are really stuck for ideas and can't find any PLR decent content, many affiliate programs have articles you can use. Use the articles as content but include a brief intro to each article. Make sure you don't use the article title as the webpage title, or the main heading for the webpage - create your own which target good keywords.

If you are simply too lazy to write articles - set aside one hour per day and use it to write anything you like, force yourself to do it. After a while you'll get used to writing and can start structuring what you write about.

The next best thing to having to come up with your own content is to spin/rewrite existing content. You can do that by either:

    1) Accessing PLR material and giving it your own spin.

    2) Going to Yahoo Answers and take a thread on your niche and take all of the responses and turn them into an article. Usually, just from the answer that is selected as the "Best Answer" you have enough content to create your own article. You'll be amazed by how quickly you can come up with articles!

Meka, this is very likely happening because you are trying to make articles out of nothing. Like, sitting in front of a blank page and trying to start writing just like that... am I right? This is a very common thing that everybody gets, and what I encourage you to do is to learn to structure and plan your article BEFORE you start writing.

Have a "research" phase in your writing process. Now this doesn't need to take a lot of time or anything. Just go around Google and Wikipedia, or think around in your head and note down three or four "main ideas" that jump out at you and jot them down in a notepad.

    - Idea1
    - Idea 2
    - Idea 3
    - Idea 4

Now look at those ideas and think, what examples can I give of each idea? and jot that down under each idea.

    - Idea1
    -- example 1
    -- example 2
    - Idea 2
    -- example 1
    - Idea 3
    -- example 1
    -- example 2
    - Idea 4
    -- example 1

Once you have that done, simply write explaining each idea and how each example supports the idea that it is under. Don't think about it; just explain it. Don't worry about spelling, or improving anything yet. Just WRITE whatever you can as fast as you can. Then after you're done, go back and correct everything.

This can get to be a really fast process when you have a little practice at it. Don't get discouraged because you're simply starting out, because everybody feels that at first.

    Hi mekap04...

    There is a solution.

Writing 30 articles doesn't have to be a big deal. And with all due respect, the only thing stopping you is you.

It's human nature to seek the easiest way. Nothing wrong with that, but when you're resources are limited, the best thing to do is to become more resourceful yourself.

Start by changing how you look at the task. Instead of viewing it as a laborious chore, focus instead on how great it will feel when you've got all 30 articles written and ready to go.

Choose your 30 topics. Include keywords if you wish. But if you're creating content for your site, don't let finding the "best" keywords hold you back. Get started and let your momentum carry you onward.

Create your topics and then plug in simple headline-like templates (How To... Why... 3 Simple Tips To... 5 Dirty Little Secrets Of... etc.) to turn them into eye-grabbing titles. With a strong enough title, the writing is easy.

But before you set out to craft your articles, map them out first. A plan or blueprint makes the writing grade-school easy. Take your topic and list the first three key points that come to mind related to it. Or ask yourself, what would my reader most like to know about this topic?

Jot down a few simple ideas for each article. Add some secondary points or examples if you like. Take half a page for each and do this for all 30 articles. With 30 rough outlines in hand, all you have to do is form them into sentences. Do this once and you'll never look back.

    Cheers!

    Robert

      Lots of good solutions here.

Here's another way to do it:

Get some 4x6 cards (or a legal pad will do too) and
dedicate one to each article you need. Just make
notes on each card as things come to you, and you'll
find yourself becoming more aware of the subjects as
you collect your notes and shuffle the cards.

Then you write the stuff in order of what is most interesting
      to you.

Here is what it really comes down to in my opinion. If you do have a budget, just go out and hire someone at elance or somewhere like that to write your articles. You can get them for $5-$10 a pop for quality articles.

However, if your on a very limited budget, even though you hate the writing....whats the alternative? Not having a niche site or blog? Why are you doing the sites to begin with?
Is it worse to write articles than why you are doing this?

      Hope that helps.

You can get articles written for $5, and believe me that is sweat shop level pay.

        Look at it this way.

If that page upon which the article resides results in just one sale, how much will you make?

More than 5 bucks - after that it is all profit.

Anyone wishing to succeed in IM must get away from this cost, minimalistic type mindset.

It is absolutely impossible to succeed with it.

I write my own material, but if you want articles written I suggest eLance.

There are always new providers joining keen to get their first job and feedback.

State that you need say 500 articles over a certain time, without committing to dates, and ask for a per article bid on that basis.

Also make sure you want original writing, not ripped off from some website - which happens a lot, and no "spun" using software.

I'm a big fan of outsourcing. As several people have pointed out in this thread, you can get articles written very reasonably.

The key to me is, what's the best use of your time? Writing articles, which you can have other people do. Or working on marketing your business, doing the things only you can do.

Focus on making the best use of your time. Your time is your most valuable asset.

You shouldn't waste your time and energy writing your articles yourself unless there is a very strong reason for that (inmost cases there is not). Your time is valuable and better spent on things that can help your business much better.

Just buy a lot of PLR articles, and re-write the ones you are interested in with your keywords. This wouldn't take your time, because all the work has already been done for you.

Speak your articles into some kind of speech recognition software?

If it's "writing" that's dreadful, there are many alternatives. Use video marketing, maybe PPC, hook up a deal with someone who can write for you, you can build the sites and do the research work etc. Lots of options.

I'm a writer so writing is no big deal for me, but I still outsource when I can... The main reason is I don't want to get bogged down with writing basic filler when I can get someone else to do it for like $2... My time is better spent elsewhere. I also like the idea of trading.... You write this stuff and I'll set up your blog or do some back linking for you.

The key is to not let any one task keep you from completing your goals. You could end up spending weeks just trying to get the writing done and lose all your momentum.

What's the alternative to writing articles? Have someone write them for you, expect you don't want to do that.

Outsourcing is only necessary when you think your time could be spent somewhere else (or if you have enough money to spend on convience) in your case it doesn't seem like that.

Push yourself, no pain no game, that's the saying. Don't try to do all 30 articles in one day, if you do 5 articles a day (push yourself to do 1 every hour) then you'll be done with the blog by the end of the week. Also, the more information you gather on your niche, the easier it will become to write additional articles.

All you gotta do is push yourself, take a break when you need to, Internet Marketing is sometimes difficult but don't kill yourself over it.
