Need help: Anyone familiar with Stephen Pierce's powerful marketing techniques?

I recently came across Stephen Pierce's internet marketing techniques and I think they are absolutely awesome but I don't really understand some of them. I hope someone can help.

Does anyone know what is the ebook submission results page? Why would we want to ping that particular page to blogs?
Elsewhere, he also talked about submitting "ping listing" to Buzzup and tweetmeme. Why would he want to do that? As far as I know, the "ping listing" is just a list of all the blogs that has been informed. Would twitterers or the public want to know this?
Would really appreciate your help if you are familiar with these techniques. Thanks!!
