Gmail feature -- just thought to mention in case you do not know
NO YOU DON'T
You can simply use youremail+1@gmail.com, youremail+2@gmail.com, youremail+thedogatemyhomework@gmail.com, as many of these "derived" email addresses as you want. Any email sent to any of these will arrive in your inbox at youremail@gmail.com.
You can also do some clever tagging and rules with these. For example, if you want to identify sites that resell your email account, you can create a filter that tags any email sent to youremail+spamtrap@gmail.com with a tag. Now if you see that tag on email coming from other sites than the one that you used the email for, you know not just who shared your email but also who they shared it with.
Gmail is powerful. This is just scratching the surface of what's possible.
