These WF STATS shocked me ...

I was just looking at the viewing stats for this forum and was
highly surprised that there were twice as many people viewing
the WSO section (5294) as the Main Forum (2612).

It use to be the reverse. What does this say about the direction
the forum is moving in? More people are here looking for a
"deal" than discussing about "dealing"?

Ray, it's been that way for quite some time. Certainly since the WSO section started allowing affiliates.

Yeah, the traffic pattern has been that way for a while. Just to clarify, even though the rule was just recently changed back allowing us to advertise for affiliates on a Warrior Special Offer thread, the product or service offered is still supposed to be your own. Affiliate offers are allowed in the Classifieds section.

      2. All WSO's Must Be Something You Created. A Product Of Your Own. (A package of ebooks someone threw together is not considered a product and will be deleted) This is completely self explanatory and not up for debate. If you yourself did not create the product do not post it here.

So I'm a late observer. I went looking at the stat to investigate
something else and the numbers surprised me. A lot has changed
over the years and are still changing. Hard to believe that WSO
    posting used to be free!

I took a break from the WF for over a year, and only recently returned. You are correct that some things have changed, but what really struck me was how much has stayed the same.

While traffic stats may fluctuate, it seems to me that the bulk of the content (in the WSO section as well as the main forum) is more static than dynamic.

As an educated guess I'd say that the majority of the traffic in the WSO section is sent direct to a particular page via email from the product owner or their affiliates or occasionally solo ads.

Yes, this is very much my guess, too. I think a lot of the WSO Forum traffic has landed directly on a page there from a link outside the forum, rather than representing people just "browsing the WSO's" (though there are undoubtedly people doing that, as well).

For the record, the number shown as "viewing" any part of the forum doesn't necessarily represent people online all at the same time: that number's measured over a period of time, which the administrator can set in the vBulletin admin pages. (I do the same in my little forum, where that time's set to 5 minutes, but who knows what it is, here?).

Another big part of this number you need to take into account is all the people who are running WSO's and have them open in their browser. I remember when I was actively running WSO's I would have the treads open in my browser windows all day long so they were easy to check. There would be a lot of that happening accounting for a lot of those views. The rest would mainly be outside traffic being sent directly to an offer. Very little of it would be organic traffic.

    Hey Ray!
One time I saw 7600+ warriors are viewing WSO section.
People want to experience new ways and techniques. It's a must to invest money to make money!
One of my friends changed his life my purchasing three WSO's. He was completely newbie but learned the real way to make money online.
