Blog posting - should I send to RSS directories or ping them will do?

Guys,

Need some help on this, should I send those single post's to RSS directories. (RSSBot) or just submit the catelog feed that posted to and ping them everytime when I update with new post in that catelog.

Does doing the 1st method get 'sandbox' higher chances?

Spark,

You only need to send your main feed to the rss readers. If you have added a list of ping-sites in your settings, than pinging will be done automatically whenever you have a new blog post.

Hi bleke,

Thanks for your help on this. So just submit the main feed will do. [Using RSSBot] then turn on the ping option and once there's any update, wordpress will auto ping for those sites that i submitted right?

Also just curious, once we pinged it. understand that spider will crawl into our post. Will they crawl into Blogroll links with anchor text as well?
