You could start working on your own business while waiting for a J.O.B. Surely you can write on topics within the realm of your degree...or anything else that you might be passionate about. Grab a domain, hosting, wordpress, an auto responder and your off to the races. If you need help with any of these, there is tons of that around this joint. Good luck.

If you need money to eat sign up at the various freelance job boards. Brag about your skills and education. Give every customer your best and earn a good rep. Often when you get hired by others you can figure out how they are making money -- which is more valuable than whatever shit they are paying you.

    Do people hire online marketers?

Most people get into online marketing to escape the wage slave thing.

This isn't a job board. People here are entrepreneurs and work for themselves, mostly. If you want to hire yourself out, post here Warriors For Hire

Consider creating a gig on Fiverr and making some money with your skills. There are other places where you can sell your services, such as odesk and freelancer.
