Want to start a business

Hello warriors, I have been thinking about starting a business in IM field for a while now (all kinds of graphics designs, social marketing, etc.), but having fiverr offer everything for $5, how many chances I actually have to start in this field?

    Why fiverr, put your advertise here, it will cost only $20. Do it with nice cover and port folio and the success will be guaranteed.

    What your idea on how you plan to monitize it. Are you saying you want to do graphic designs, and do social marketing for other people? Are you looking to charge a flat rate for your services?

    Everything on fiver starts @ $5 but you can add upsells for higher amounts. I have never marketed my services on fiver but see people have upsells there all the time.

    What I mean is...people are able to get the services on Fiverr for $5, how could I succeed when offering services for higher price tag on my own website?

    You get what you pay for with fiverr, Its a good front cover yes, but for $5 you only get the real basics and most of the time is not really what you want.

    A lot of people preffer to pay extra to get quality and people get what they ask for when they pay more. quality not quantity!

    If you are going to offer design services or something related, start with offering some review copies here on the fourm.

    Then launch a Wso and you'll have some positive reviews and that should get the ball rolling.

      Thanks, that makes sense My plan is to offer the best quality products so that makes things clear now.

      You will go far. You are already halfway there by looking to start an actual business. I would suggest taking your skills offline. Walk into a business and offer to market their website via social media or something similar. You already know more than most offline businesses!
      Thanks for the encouraging words, I have been in IM for a while now and I really am looking to start a serious business rather then grabbing quick cash.. Not really looking to go offline as for now yet, but good idea for later, so thanks

    1) Amazingly enough not everyone knows about fiver - especially for your offline clients i.e. small businesses

    2) If you offer more service and better service and are consistent, you will develop the reputation of being the person to go to when seeking a true professional.

    Focus on obtaining clients that have the money to spend and have the belief that the more you pay the higher the quality that you get.

    Here is what you should do, gain social proof of your work by doing grind work in the beginning. Offer your services here on wso for a cheap price in exchange for testimonials.

    Once you got enough videos and written facebook positive feedback, then create your sales page or website and create a page of your social proof alongside work proof.

    If you are as good as you claim to be, the price point of your work doesnt matter.

    A lot of people start on fiverr to start social proofs of their work and also practice their skills.

    You need to market your business and offers in many places to succeed and be patient, fiver alone won't do the trick, you need to use all sources to market you business including forums such as this one, social sites, PPC ads, even videos. It will certainly take more than fiver to succeed if you are serious about your business.
