Which registrar do you find the best and do you keep all of your domains in one registrar account?

eNom is a great registrar (#2 in volume of registered domains after GD). You don't hear about them often because they do not sell much directly to end users, they go through resellers.

But they have a killer backend process and stability for people who take their domains seriously.

You should consolidate all of your domains at one good registrar. What I would not do is consolidate all of your domains at a registrar which is run by the same company you get your hosting from. That gives one company - no matter how good they may be - too much power over your business.

I use Go Daddy for a registrar.

I don't use them for hosting just registrar. They are easy and have sales that are hard to beat.

      Thanks, Patrick

    My favorite is Namecheap actually.

I started out with Godaddy, and once i registered a domain at namecheap i never returned.

They are both equally good for quality i guess, maybe i just like the interface better.

    Namecheap for sure.

As a product vendor I get to see a lot of support issues and almost all issues to do with hosting are people using GoDaddy. I would recommend people stay far far away from them. They are a hosting company aimed at the beginner/novice.

Most of my students and myself included have used both GoDaddy and Namecheap in the past.

I really didn't find any real differences between the 2 or have any issues with either of them.

One other tip worth mentioning, never have your domains and hosting with the same company.

I personally use and highly recommend NameCheap. I keep ALL of my domains under the one registrar, make my life easier to manage. The customer service and support I've received from NameCheap is second to none so they have my approval and I'm a fan for life.

I find Namecheap has the most responsive service and easiest user interface.
    Plus, Namecheap has this.

However, as with all things, it's never a good idea to keep all your eggs in one virtual basket. Besides, you could end up missing out on any new features or improvements from other registers.

For registering domains I find both Namecheap and GoDaddy to be equal in quality. I do not like GoDaddy for hosting though.

We use Namecheap which is a reseller of Enom. We've been with them for years. Great service, good pricing, easy to transfer domains.

I have had a love hate with GODADDY, but something is telling me they are really doing well right now, and I cannot complain about their service. They always answer support emails, and my sites never go down at all.

And our sites get lots of traffic, so its good to see they are getting their act together. The support is really good now too. SO I am back on the love fest with godaddy. Try them.

I know a lot of people bitch about Godaddy but I use it and have never had a problem with it. Managing your domains through it is a breeze.

I've heard horror stories but it just hasn't been my experience.

My 2 cents on the subject.

I've only ever used five different ones, I think, but Namecheap's by far my favorite, of those.

GoDaddy is the one I'll never touch again, and I feel ashamed with myself over having used them for so long before I switched. I was stupid and frightened of change, and I thought it would be a big deal to change registrars. (It wasn't - just a huge relief!). But I'm very happy never to have to do business with them again.

(I'd also never do business with 1and1, but I've never used them anyway.)

I was about to say "yes" but then remembered that I don't, actually. Nearly all at Namecheap, but I still have three UK-specific ones registered with a UK registrar. I've paid for quite a few years in advance, because they offered a decent discount for that, and am not in a hurry to move those.

3 months ago I would have recommended Moniker but I & others went through major headaches when they did a system change & customer service was a nightmare (will that change?). They still are my current registrar however. NameCheap, Name, GoDaddy & NameSilo were registrars I've considered moving my names to. I have around 250 domain names right now (had over 1200 at one time) so pricing is critical to me.

I have used many registrars in the past and still do, I like namecheap, name.com, and enom. Also, while godaddy has the cheapest prices, I do not like they panel interference. Currently most of my domain names are being registered at name.com.
