What do I need to get page hits from a specific country?

Hi there,

This is my first post on this great forum, so I am sorry if I am posting in the wrong category. Also, excuse my English, its not my first language

Im from Norway, and blogging and blog lists are very popular here. All the blogs are using different type of blog lists even the most visited blogs of them all, and it is a good way to get traffic.

I want to kick start some of my blogs by getting fake hits and rank up on the blog lists. The hits doesnt have to be real visitors (I think), but the IP must be Norwegian.

Can anyone explain how I can do this? I have no clue how, but I am a fast learner, so if there are some articles/software/threads I should check out I would be a happy man

    hello snej, why would you want fake traffic to your site? Will it really help you rank up on the blog lists? I'm no expert at this but in my opinion, getting fake hits to your blog will just be a total waste of time. I'd rather hope you'd spend time on getting real visitors (for long term purposes), at least you are making your time worth building what you'll be needing in the future. I hope this make sense.

      I think it will help ranking the blog lists, yes. The plan is that ranking blog lists will give real visitors. My plan is that combining buying some facebook followers with a good ranking on the blog lists will make it easier for real visitors to like and share posts than a brand new blog.

        I don't think you can get that specific with fake traffic generator software. The only way I know of that you could get a lot of fake, country-specific traffic is to buy cheap traffic from Adfly. Of course that traffic isn't fake, but it's a cheaper way to accomplish what you want.

        Also, I can tell you that although Adfly traffic doesn't convert into sales most of the time, a small percentage will show some engagement with your site if they like it. I recently did a test of Adfly traffic to see if any of them would manually start a video about a piece of dog software and watch the sales pitch video all the way to the end, and about 30 did out of 4000. lol.

        Not a lot, but I've paid for some Facebook traffic that didn't get as good of results as that.

    To target specific country traffic like USA, UK, AUS you must go with the country specific domain extension like for India you can take .in or .co.in.

    Rather than working on fake hits, I would just spend the time and money getting REAL visitors that would stick around and come back for more.

    Also, how sure are you that you will be able to fool whatever system they have in place? You could use Adfly, like Joan suggested. That might actually do what you want it to do.

    How about going viral on social networks?

    Do some research and figure out something that connects with people in Norway
    so they will share with their friends and so on. It might be better than fake traffic.

    Anything fake is just that - fake. It's not going to get you anywhere. If you are interested in getting visitors from Norway try including KWs in your content that relate to the area. For example if you want to target US visitors its a good idea to use "dollar ($)" over "pounds".

    That's a way of telling the search engines who's the content is written for.

    Fake hits???You can not do that and it will get you nowhere.

    You can actually use pay per click to target your specific country. That is what I would do.

    Oh sorry. Was not aware that this forum was whitehat only. Yes I am aware of other forums, I just joined this one because it was so clean looking and easy to navigate - maybe that should have given me a hint of the fact that it is whitehat lol

      No one's mentioned Facebook ads yet.

      They allow country-specific targeting of ads (although I've never tried Norway!). And the CPC would probably be very low.

      Out of curiosity, why are you looking for black hat methods for generating fake hits?

        To rank high on different blog lists that counts how many norwegian visitors you have had last 24h.

        Guys, I know whitehat SEO. This thread was for generating fake hits from a country specific IP.
