How Would They Feel??

Quick thoughts..

If you have a big list (Let's say above 10k subscribers) and you decides to sell solo ads services, how is your subscribers' feeling when they know you are selling solo ads??

I mean, when they knows that you're a solo ads seller (maybe they saw your page on Warrior Forum or others) and they receive your emails, don't they know it's a solo mailing??

Do they totally understands when they subscribe to you that you're a solo seller??
Do you tell your new subscribers you'll be sending them some solo mailings?? I don't know if solo sellers put this on their privacy page or else..

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks a lot,
Jeffry

You will definately devalue your list if you send out too many solo mailings. That's why it's important to let people know that they will receive a free offer every now and then when they subscribe.

It's the same with ad swaps, they work very well but you can't overdo it. I would say 1-3 swaps is fine, but if you overdo it your list will get annoyed.

That's why funnel clicks are starting t become more popular for both buyers and sellers. They convert just as well as regular solo ads (sometimes even better), they are cheaper, plus the solo ad seller doesn't have to send out mailings to his list, meaning the quality of his list is safe.

The golden middle way is always the best, and if you let you subscribers know what to expect, you should be fine.

Many marketers in the IM field end up burning out their list.

I definitely do not want my name to be sold or swaped.

The best marketers treat their list like gold, and get repaid very handsomely for it.

The problem really isn't selling solo ads and having them find out about them, but more so on how often you're doing it. If you are sending out solo ads every single day or multiple times a week, it could get annoying to your subscribers,

Grow your list, value them effectively, and don't over promote too much to them,.

I mean most people probably don't feel good about it when they know that they get sold! That shows that the marketer sees you not as a person no he see you as a click to sell (to be fair not all marketers are like that). But that's part of the business. Solo ad seller burn their lists pretty fast but they also build theirs lists every day. I wouldn't stay on a list like that but I guess some people do!

I always opt out when I am on a list where I can tell it's only for solo's or swaps. Though some people try to make you think it's a viable plan. You'd need to have replenish traffic coming in to make it work.

Having a healthy balance of ad swaps, CPA on the back-end and FREE content to sweeten the deal will help maintain your list quality

Creating content wither free training , recorded webinars, ebooks, something of perceived value that will ensure your list will still respond should keep the responsiveness of your list up

    Its all about balance

Solo - Adswap - Free content - Adswap - Freecontent
