digital download and affiliate options ?

I've got a wordpress site and need to add a shopping cart so that I can sell a digital package. I've found wordpress plugins such as easy digital downloads but wondering if something like clickbank would be more of what I should be looking at ? I do want to have promo codes and affiliate management which easy digital downloads and affiliateWP wordpress plugins do, but not sure if they'll be as fully featured as needed.

any advice ? How do most people implement digital product shopping carts on their sites ?

    Well I think Wocommerce will help you as I've seen a website which runs on wordpress with use of Wocommerce and it had a option to sell products which can download after you make a payments. You must check it.

    Second the woocommerce suggestion. I'm a wordpress developer and would advise it too. Woocommerce is very well coded and supported. The only downside is if you are looking for functions that are outside its free features, you might end up purchasing it.

    Nick,

    There's no shortage of online cart solutions that will work for selling digital goods in terms of connecting your buy buttons to a payment processor and delivering access to the customer.

    But if JV partners/affiliates are an important part of your strategy (and I'm guessing they will be) you want to be using a system where:

    A) Affiliates already have established accounts
    B) They trust they'll get paid timely and accurately

    Nanacast would be an excellent fit, IMO - but it does have a bit of a learning curve in terms of implementation. You'll also have to manage your own affiliate housekeeping (paying commissions, collecting W9's etc).

    Clickbank acts as the retailer of your goods and collects the payments (for a premium per transaction fee) and handles all that housekeeping for you, which is an important difference from any self-hosted cart solution you might choose.

    Can you define "digital package"? Digital downloads? Then just about any cart will do whether you use Woocommerce, Shopify, Fetchapp, e-junkie and others.

    If you mean more of a membership site you will need a membership script. For what you are saying you want, Digital Access Pass would be perfect since it has an integrated affiliate tracking mechanism and allows for multiple membership levels. You can also look at Nanacast or Wishlist is also popular but doesn't have (correct me if I am wrong) affiliate tracking mechanism.

    If it's just one product, Woocommerce might be overkill. A lot of plugins and software like DLGuard can handle digital payments and file delivery as well as services like ejunkie.
