How to Expand the WF and Put WSOs Everywhere, WSOs in subforums, Affiliates for Classified Ads, etc.

LOL! With the new Warrior Payments you can take your WSO payment button and put it on your own website. Cool!

It also works when you put the payment button on forum posts, like this:

(I have removed the links since I'm just showing ideas here and not promoting a product.)

There are many possibilities. Keep in mind with Warrior Payments there is a built in affiliate program

You can:

- Put payment buttons on regular threads like this.

- Add payment buttons to classified ads.

- Add payment buttons to Warriors for Hire.

- Add a "Buy Me a Beer" button at the bottom of your valuable posts. (Like this one!)

- Put payment buttons in the product reviews section. Maybe for a competing product.

OK. Some of these are a bit on the joke side, but not for adding payment buttons to other areas of the forum. This could really open things up for more sellers whose offers are not in the regular WSO forum.

Here is how it works ...

If you create a WSO product listing, and do not pay $20 to have it listed on the forum, then you get a payment button to put on your website. I've tried this a couple times and once I was given a wide range of payment buttons such as the first one on this post, and the other time only one square button was offered.

You can put that button anywhere, like this:

Um, yeah, that's a product I just created for $10,000, which is the max amount allowed for a WSO.

Some of the repercussions might be problematic, although big payment buttons in the wrong places are easy to see and deal with. On the other hand, a button is not needed for a WarriorPayments link - like this one.

But as you can see by my putting payment links in a regular form post, other possibilities could open a huge door for sellers throughout the forum and make Freelancer a lot of money. (Matt, hey, hit that $10k link for me for the idea )

My initial thought is everyone who has been selling in the WSO subforums and selling things such as backlinking services, SEO, content, websites, etc., can suddenly make use of Warrior Payments and the Warrior affiliate system to drive traffic and sales to their offers.

Like W+ and JVzoo, the Warrior Payments affiliate system can be used anywhere. I'm not sure why affiliate systems have not been incorporated into the subforums. Maybe they are and I have not noticed since I don't visit too often.

Example, lets say there is a web hosting offer in the Warriors for Hire section I want to promote as an affiliate. Now, I can go the seller and say create a free WSO, do not pay the $20, and you will get a payment button to put in your offer. Then I go into the marketplace, request an affiliate link, and then get paid for sending buyers to the offer.

Worth noting that these are definitely not allowed so don't get the wrong idea people.

Paid offers and buy buttons are only allowed in the paid forum advertising section.

I'm not sure that "buy me a diet coke" buttons are disallowed. They were before and I received quite a few of them from people that thought some of my posts were helpful.

Be good to hear for sure on that now that Brian has brought it up.

Yep, at this stage they definitely aren't allowed unless the new owners have changed something recently?

That's for them to confirm or deny.

Then I might put a 'Shout me a Hooker' button in my threads.

Jeeze that link is live... It opened a paypal window for a $10k purchase. Be careful. Talk about deceptive linking. I hope this is not a change that Freelance has allowed.

Well, now that you've shown everyone that they can be put in posts, I'm sure that there'll be a whole new class of spam to deal with.
