Hi All I have recently started to use wordpress and must say its a great to use. I am looking for an opt in form and a autoresponder. I have searched all over for a free one and came across autobot autoresponder however when I tested it - it sent an email asking to use autobot and benefit your business. Such emails will want my opt in list to unsubscribe. The reason I was looking for a free one is because I dont think I will be able to make use of my autoresponder until at least a few months when I start getting people to subscribe. I am looking for some advise on what I can use to create an opt in form and a autoresponder. I didnt really want to spend any money until I know I have some followers so maybe it might be a good idea to get an opt in form to start off with and then once my followers and subscribers increase I will get a good auto responder. Could someone please advise on what I should do? thanks |

Here is a great free one that just came out recently and I did a bit of a review on it. So far seems to work great. Just test your messages as they work better formated in HTML. How to Set up a Wordpress Autoresponder | The Internet Marketers Club Quentin |

As far as I've seen if you're going to get an autoresponder you're better off going with Aweber or GetResponse. GetResponse happens to have a free version: AutoResponder from GetResponse! - Free edition!! It's "ad supported" but should be good enough until you have some followers and can upgrade to the paid version. (They're tiny ads that do not cause many people to unsubscribe, at least I haven't heard of that happening in a significant amount). If you're dead set against GR then here's another link that might help you, it's about setting up WordPress with PHPlist, a free newsletter script: http://www.problogineer.com/10-simpl...m-to-wordpress (no affiliation). |

from personal experience, changing from one autoresponder to another is a real pain. So make sure that you can either upgrade (see previous post) or you don't really care about your initial 'test'-list (and can throw it away if necessary). I ended up using aweber after trying a bunch of free solutions (and having major deliverability issues.... Since aweber, those are gone) Veit |
