What to do if a website rejected your affiliate application because you're not from that country?

I was applying for an US affiliate program that would have worked for a niche site I own and I was rejected. I think it was an automatic rejection due to me not being from the US. But I feel that my site is a perfect match for this affiliate so it would be a win-win.

Should I try and contact them directly?

I don't think you're going to change anyone's mind. They will have reasons why they won't approve certain locations, if in fact, that is the reason for your rejection.

I would just search for other affiliate programs that will accept you.

If you have no other choices, get a partner in the U.S. and work through that person.

    Otherwise, just move on.

I am pretty sure you are out of luck with that affiliate program. Is there anything else similar in another program?

I must say that I would, actually: I'd want to know (not just "think") whether it was because of my location. (Because if isn't, there could possibly be something you could change, to be approved?). If their policy is only to accept US-resident affiliates, then that's another matter, but it sounds from what you say that they don't say that on their site?

Contact them direct. I run an affiliate program through CJ and I got an email the other day from an applicant to the program asking why their application was rejected. On looking at it they were a good match so they got approved.

Don't ask, don't get. What have you got to lose apart from 5 minutes to write the email.

@Steve B - Thank you for your thoughts but I do not want to move on. This is a great opportunity that I do not want to pass up.

@Southern Infotality - No, nothing similar.

@Alexa Smith - Yes, there isn't something clear on their website about this. Thanks for your input!

@Simonmc - I will contact them and see how it goes. Thank you for sharing your personal experience!

Try something else. It happens me a lot. I am not from US and where I live there is no paypal

P.S. There always a alternative so keep looking and surely you will find something that will be win-win.
